We're now 71 days away from kickoff and continue our countdown.

For No. 71, Leo Brooks is the headliner. He was an All-SWC defensive tackle, part of the 1969 national championship team and later played seven seasons in the NFL, earning a Pro Bowl selection.

Chris Hall deserves a lot of love, too, with 45 career games, 37 starts, starts at all five OL spots, All-American honors and a Rimington Trophy finalist nod in 2009.

And we’ve got to include Ray Dowdy, who lettered in 1970–71, was part of the 1970 national title team and earned All-SWC honors in 1971.

The current No. 71 is offensive tackle Melvin Siani.

Who is your favorite?
