Opening Day "NFL Style" Open Practices: The New College Football Trend?

The Ohio State Buckeyes recently kicked off their fall practice by hosting an "NFL Open Practice" style event for fans, and word is they might hold a few more. This marks a potential shift in how major programs approach fall camp.

In today's NIL and facility "arms race," is any extra revenue stream worth pursuing if it also gives fans a fun, unique experience?

How do we feel about this overall? How much would you personally be willing to pay to attend one of these open practices?

As long as there isn't anything revealed schematically, I think it'd be kinda cool to open a practice or two up to fans. Just have them run routes on air or do one on ones or even 7on7. You could sell a lot of tickets and keep it to an hour then when the fans leave actually practice plays and installs, etc.

As someone mentioned in another thread, this was a regular occurrence early in Mack's tenure, but it was free.  

That was 25+ years ago and I know times have changed, but if you're worried about losing a game because there's video of your first two days of drills, your team has bigger issues.  

This is what's great about the Spring Game or whatever it is now - you provide access to a lot of fans that will never have that type of access to players or maybe ever even step into DKR.

Hell, I'm in my 50s and I still think it's cool to have photo ops with Bevo.

So, yeah, I wish we would take a more fan-forward approach to our Spring Game and our first two days of warm-ups in shorts.
