  1. Finney's father is a longtime HSFB coach in the St. Louis area who's now in the Houston area. They moved to Houston at some point in the last few years. Finney coached and call plays (he was OC) for Nick Townsend at Dekaney for a while and was at St. Pius X last year as their OC last year. I believe he left St. Pius X to take a job on the Willis staff this spring but I'm not 100% sure on that. Finney also does some training on the side and trained Ryan Wingo when he was coming up in St. Louis. Wingo has since trained in Houston with Finney. Trey was at Dekaney and played on varsity as a freshman during Nick Townsend's senior year. Trey then followed his father to St. Pius X where he played his sophomore year but is now at Willis after transferring up north this spring. Willis has arguably the best offensive mind in TXHSFB in Trent Miller and I can't wait to see what he does with Trey. He's undersized at 5-9, 165 but is a great player. It'll be interesting to see who emerges as contenders with all of his dad's longtime connections to college staffs all across the country.
  2. Still waiting to hear confirmation the visit is off the books but as Bobby said I'd view it as doubtful the trip goes through.
  3. Love me some Carlton. One of the favorite recruitments I've ever covered. He always kept the main thing the main thing and is a great kid. He embodies the blue collar culture Temple is all about and is the first person in his family to ever attend college. He's unlikely to be the flashy player that Colin Simmons is or that Richard Wesley will likely be, but he provides consistent effort, is willing to do the dirty work, and has all the tools to eventually turn into a day one or two draft pick.
  4. I don't know how much it'd change the potential for 2026 but Jonah Williams having a big summer would be terrific and would vastly change the outlook for the future of the safety room. It would be huge if he can stay healthy through the entire season
  5. Lawrence will make his decision almost exactly four years after some guy named Arch Manning did
  6. I expect the pick to be Vanderbilt. This raises Caleb Siler's priority level for Texas Tech and Northwestern. Siler is now the only OT set to OV to Tech this summer and Northwestern has been extremely aggressive in the Siler recruitment and are also expected to miss on Ngokwere like Tech and Texas are.
  7. LSU is the school to watch. His father played basketball at LSU and is an assistant coach. Mom ran track at Southern
  8. Older brother plays at Tech and I’d expect the younger brother to follow him.
  9. Really like this kid. His dad is is Herbert Taylor, who played OL at TCU before spending a few years in the NFL. Also competes in track and field and saw varsity snaps as a freshman http://www.hudl.com/v/2TGc5D
  10. Just saw Adrian Peterson on a golf cart so I assume Adrian Peterson Jr. is here. 2030 ATH who will attended Fort Bend Ridge Point. Plays WR/RB/DB
  11. TE or EDGE. He’s one of those guys that can kinda pick where he wants to be though
  12. Love this kid’s game. Natural thrower of the football and is super clean
  13. Just added The Woodlands College Park ATH James Skaer to the list. He's a 6-foot-5, 220 pounder that's being recruited to play DE or TE in college but a source on staff at TWCP believes he'll be a DE in college. He already visited Texas in the spring and holds offers from UTSA, UNLV, TCU, Tulane, Cal, Mississippi State, Houston, Arizona, SMU, and New Mexico. Also plays basketball. He's the grandson of Ted Koy
  14. Just added a few names to the list including Klein Oak 2028 RB Micah Rhodes. One of, if not the best RBs to emerge in the in-state 2028 class thus far. Also a Texas legacy as the grandson of Texas LB Bobby Rhodes. He was an early Oklahoma commit but decommitted a few months ago and this will be his 4th trip to Texas this offseason. I don't want to say he's on commit watch because I don't think it's there yet, but if we were to hear of a camper committing, Rhodes would be my first guess. I think Texas leads over Georgia and LSU
  15. Offer watch imo. He lists himself at 6-3.5, 245 with an 80 inch wing
  16. The thing I'm curious about this season is his health. Most college QBs are either fighter pilots or bus drivers and Leavitt is the face of the fighter pilot group. Fun playstyle, but will he be able to hold up for 9 games in the SEC?
  17. Don’t think it’s that realistic but capping commercial breaks at 2 minutes would be awesome. It’s debilitating when you’re at the game and they pause for a TV timeout and you see the guy walk out with a timer that says 4:30.
  18. Seeing Colin Simmons in his final year and all the offense skill talent (specifically Cam Coleman and Jermaine Bishop) are the first things that come to mind
  19. I asked a source close to the recruitment if summer unofficials were possible despite no plans for summer OVs. "All we have is Sundays… so no OVs. Anything unofficial will likely be just him trying to maintain sanity."
  20. Checking to see if Camara will take any unofficials this summer.
  21. "I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all the coaches and programs who have invited me to take an Official Visit this summer, as well as the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to make these visits so special for players and their families. That being said, I have decided not to take any Official Visits this summer. The personal challenge I set for myself two years ago (when I got here) completing high school in just 2.5 years to early enroll in 2027 demands my full commitment. I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made in these two years. As a team captain, i got to be here for my teammates during summer workouts. This is my final season last year was my first on varsity, and we fell short. This year, we’re determined not to let that happen. That’s another reason why I need to stay focused and put everything I have into this sh*t. #ArmyofBuckeyes"
