MarkInAustin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago When Earl and Shearer were juniors on the team Clayborn was the team's MVP! He was electrifying as a returner and for me is one of the five greatest DBs in UT history. He was so fast and so fluid. And strong enough to take turns at RB on a team that included Campbell and Leaks. I think he averaged near 7 yards per carry on offense. 2 Quote
BurntOrangeHorn Posted 16 minutes ago Posted 16 minutes ago Ford was the first I saw in person and he was instrumental to winning the 1963 National Championship. I cannot remember what position or if he played on defense in those one platoon days. Koy and his older brother Ernie, Junior (#23), were both great for Texas!! Jam I would love to hear from as he seems to have disappeared after playing at Texas. Clayborn was a star at Texas and in the NFL. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿 1 Quote
Waxahorn Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago (edited) Raymond Clayborn was a very talented two-way athlete. He was a threat to score any time he touched the ball. Ted Koy is a true Longhorn legend. Not too many guys have been on a stage with a sitting president while still in his football gear. Edited 6 minutes ago by Waxahorn spelling 1 Quote
