Special teams

How are we feeling about special teams through two weeks? I think our kicker looks at least above average. Jury is still out on the punter.

I doubt anyone has complaints thus far and the line is holding up well in protection. I HAVE seen a few missed tackles from the gunners, but that happens when you’re flying trying to make a huge play.

Kicker has been good. 

The return game needs to clean itself up it is woefully similar to the struggles early last year prior to Niblett breaking out vs OU.

Also saw an all 22 angle of punt coverage where a gunner was left completely bare. Would like to see more attention to detail in this regard.

My fear is that there's a bit of loyalty to Niblet from last year because he saved one game and was a massive factor in the OU. My question is whether he's still the best option as a returner. If the coaches truly think he is, fine.

Just needs to be a positive every game or at least not a liability.
