Paul Jespersen Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm not trying to be apologetic to Texas performance season to date here - far from it, its extremely disappointing, but nationally, and SEC in particular is absolutely brutal this year.. I'm not sure there will be any 1 loss SEC teams at end of regular season. Does anyone not believe that Kentucky, Tennessee, and probably Georgia too won't have another L? I mean Kentucky and TN play each other at a minimum. GA still has Florida and @Ole Miss. Kentuck has @TN, Florida, @OU, @ missouri and Louisville; TN has probably easiest w/ @ ATM and @ SC as well as LSU at home and they have loss to us. Alabama has @ LSU, Aggie, and Auburn still. MsSt is lost w/o their QB. Florida already has 2 losses and still has OU, Kentucky and FSU. Even OU is only 2 L's in conference... Impact players like Taylor and Sayin and others going down or getting pulled... And you can go through all the conferences really and see similar. Big 12 top half hasn't played each other yet, but that carnage is coming... Point is: Every team has major flaws. Every team is getting banged up. Every team is beating up on each other. We are far from alone in this misery, and others have it even worse (Oregon, USC, Michigan, Penn State, Clemson, FSU - Pretty sure I wouldn't trade our woes for any of theirs...) GA might win the conference again with 2 conference losses this year and every other contender could easily be 3 or even 4 losses by end of season. All I'm saying is, grass isn't really greener in many other places. Plenty of things for us to fix and our grass can be just as good or better than anyone else's - still time even in this season. Win this weekend and things can get well for us quickly, still... I don't have blinders on, we have issues, every family does. But they're our issues. Our family. We shouldn't piss on the players, I don't think they've quit yet and don't think they will. Forever hopeful. Alway Hook'em. 🤘 2 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 1 hour ago Moderators Posted 1 hour ago Dog eat dog in the SEC currently. Unfortunately, Texas has yet to take advantage of mayhem all over the conference. But we did hear from a number of players on Monday that they know they control their own destiny and plan to act on that exact piece moving forward. Hopefully it lights a fire. 4 Quote
MBHORNSFAN Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago I agree which makes this even more frustrating. It's wide open and we are pissing down our legs. 1 Quote
