Two more lunchtime notes

Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High

OTF reported yesterday that Fasusi enjoyed his tine outside of football more in Norman than Austin. Or on the visit. That was reiterated by a second source today. Oklahoma and Texas duking it out with the Sooners having confidence. Texas also has a level of confidence. Late August announcement remains likely.

Lamont Rogers, OT, Mesquite (Texas) Horn

OTF had mentioned don't sleep on Missouri in this recruitment. OTF is not sleeping on Missouri in this recruitment. Texas, FSU, Texas A&M and Oklahoma still in the mix.

Gerry I hear is trending with the 5 star tackle from Kansas. Wouldn’t that play a big factor in the Texas versus ou battle?

What does "Gerry I hear is trending with the 5 star tackle from Kansas. " mean?

Not another musical reference, is it?

Any word on what Oklahoma did in Norman during his visit?

Damn. I screwed that post up.  Ou is trending with Babalola a 5 star tackle from Kansas. Perhaps their pursuit of babalola will make Fasusi think about in class competition?

Honestly if taking Fasusi this year messes things up with Turntine next year then let him go. Hate to lose a talent at tackle like that but Turntine talent wise looks like the better player. I mean his tape at his age is more impressive than highly rated 5 star tackles in the last decade. Don’t want to mess up getting a generational talent imo.

Worked out well when we turned down Andrew Luck to sign Garret Gilbert in the next class.  There are no guarantees.  Sign the best guys this year and worry about next year… next year.

I mean I didn’t say we should choose between the two, but I understand your point. The way I phrased it may have come off as that but I want Fasusi. Let him go was my way of coping if he doesn’t choose us lol
