SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey Explains How Texas & OU Received Their 2024 Schedules

Recommended Posts

OU schedule:

Tennessee
Auburn (bottom dweller)
Texas
South Carolina
Ole Miss
Missouri
Alabama
LSU

vs

Texas schedule:

Mississippi St
Oklahoma
Georgia
Vanderbilt
Florida
Arkansas
Kentucky
Texas A&M

OU schedule looks harder, but .....

Is Kentucky better than Missouri?

Is Tennessee at Norman better than Texas A&M at College Station

Is Vandy better than Auburn this year

Georgia vs Alabama toss up

Arkansas vs LSU this year?

Easier to judge this at the end of the season for sure.

Schedule would be looking much different if Florida was what they’ve been the last two decades. Oklahoma’s schedule is definitely much harder but that’s down to a couple programs elevating significantly in the last few years (Mizzou especially & Ole Miss under Lane). There will be years when our schedule is a gauntlet & OUs is easier.

Kentucky beat Ole Miss, but the rest of your point is silly.  Road and home balance out over the season, so why claim a specific game favors doesn't favor us because our game is on the road while theirs in at home?

Anyone can see the schedule is much tougher for OU than us, so don't try to pretend otherwise. We play two ranked SEC teams other than OU, while OU plays 5 ranked SEC other than us.  Get real.

You clearly missed my point. I said OUs looks harder. The true judge of schedules will be more clear at the end of the season.
