The yards per game is on pace to surpass the UT single-season record set in 2005 (512.1), while the yards per play would be on pace to be second behind only the 1993 team (7.44). Last season’s offense finished third (477.5) and fourth (6.67) in those categories, respectively. The team that wins the turnover battle between Texas and OU is 15-7 since 2000. • Nine of the previous 11 meetings between the Longhorns and Sooners had been decided by eight points or less after 15-straight years in which the annual game was decided by at least two scores (1999-2013).
