Moderators CJ Vogel Posted November 13 Moderators Share Posted November 13 A quick pair of recruiting nuggets for the Longhorns stemming from the secondary. To echo our Gerry Hamilton, Texas is in a really strong spot for Wiregrass Ranch (Tampa, FL) CB Graceson Littleton after his official visit this weekend in Austin. Littleton is expected to make a decision soon per a source. Following the weekend, things are looking positively for the Longhorns to add a second cornerback to the class. *** Additionally, I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown yesterday afternoon, but wanted to reiterate – the plan for now is 2026 five-star defensive back Bralan Womack will be in Austin for the Kentucky game November 23. Womack, out of Flowood, Mississippi, is a top-30 ranked player by the 247Sports Composite rankings early on in the 2026 class and was offered by the Longhorns July 25th when he visited for the Pool Bash. With Zelus Hicks now reclassified to the 2025 class, Womack allows for Texas to return to big game hunting in the defensive back position for the 2026 class.

GDI
Curious to know what the mods think about the guys coming in a year early. Other than NIL I don't think it helped Ewers. Do you view it as an overall positive or negative for either the player or the school? I guess the really talented guys get a year head start on going to the league, and an early start on S&C and nutrition. Not a mod, but imo the sooner these recruits are inundated in a more complete and competitive atmosphere the better. Iron sharpens iron and the college level will allow more of an even playing field with technique and drive and hard work more of a separator vs natural talent.

College coaches would prefer the extra time with a prospect. It has certainly paid off for Ryan Williams this year at Alabama.
Danimal
I would think from a physical development standpoint, WR and CB seem like the positions to most likely realize early playing time from reclassifying. All others, the kid would need to be a beast.
