Thanks Gerry! I admit to two things about Lacey: 1) I haven't watched much of his film before this All-star game and 2) I (erroneously) thought he was too small (or I just prefer the prototype "big" QBs).

Now having watched this film, it strikes me that Lacey's throws look a whole lot like Ewers' ... he's more mobile in and around the pocket but the throwing motion and arc of the passes look like Quinn's. A lot like Ewers'.

Jack -- You are correct! The first time I watched the highlights I thought "now I know why Coach Sark wanted to recruit this kid!" His throws just look remarkably like Quinn's to me. Thanks.

Good morning and thanks for the impressive KJ highlights Gerry!!!

Extraordinary Bama HS career production (over 10K in passing yards) for KJ!

KJ completion % was 69.5% as a Jr similar to Bryce Young as a Jr. But KJ's completion % dropped to 61.5% as a Sr. His TD to INT ratio was really good both Jr and Sr year, over 5 to 1 both yrs.

@Gerry Hamilton , how do you explain KJ's lower completion percentage as a Sr? Injured, under more pressure, missing Ryan Williams WR, more drops by WR/RB/TE, simply less accurate, other, some combo?

Appreciate any thoughts you care to share Gerry.

Seeing this interstate all star game reminds me of the Texas vs Louisiana one, does that still happen?

Last played in 2012.

There used to be an all star football game with Texas vs Pennsylvania.

I think Bobby Lane coached some of those Texas teams.

4-5 new OL starters … played under duress a lot … which I always believe is positive long term

Awesome film, honestly can’t wait for the KJ for Arch controversy, followed closely by Dia. Kidding of course Quinn restarted what will now be QBU.

He also had Ryan Williams running routes for him last year.

I know player rankings and ratings are all just personal opinions but what they have done with kj’s rankings and ratings is insane on these other sites. It’s sad to see. KJ has a very bright future can’t wait to see him on the 40 🤘

It’s really interesting. It seems like Lacey’s recruiting rating & how people feel about him is tied heavily to his most direct comp (Bryce Young) & how well he is playing. Probably just coincidence but I think Lacey will outplay his final ranking for sure.

I’m with you, Gerry! The future of Texas football is soooo bright. Can’t wait to see these QBs and this team next year and beyond! I know that's sounds strange seeing that we are in the playoffs, I hate to say it, but Quinn hasn’t yet made the kind of plays needed to help this team win since Michigan or most importantly boost his draft stock.
