Chop
They need to do a lot of revision of after this year. Like reseed every round give the highest seed the lowest seed and so forth every round

Like reseed every round give the highest seed the lowest seed and so forth every round That's actually where we are now, with # 5 vs # 8 and # 6 vs # 7 But in general I disagree with reseeding - if you as an underdog beat a high seed you should inherit that high seed's supposedly easier bracket as a reward.
tsip92
Not a fan of reseeding. Create the bracket right at the start and let the chips fall as they may. This year’s bracket was critically flawed from the get go. In the end though, we would have most likely had to beat OSU and one of UGa, PSU, or ND to win the National Championship. To be the best you have to beat the best! Bring it on! Hook ‘em

CutaneousHorn
Being “favored” brings me little comfort. These games among very good teams are coin flips. I’d be a nervous wreck in the lead up for either Penn State or Notre Dame. Edited Saturday at 02:51 AM by CutaneousHorn
calabasas-horn
This would’ve been better if we were playing penn at and osu was playing nd
VaHorn
Notre Dame is to Texas as Texas is to Nebraska.
bierce
This thread is silliness posing as an argument that we might win the natty if only someone else would beat tOSU for us then roll over for us in the finals. We nearly crapped the bed and wound up being lucky to win in the quarterfinals against a team that we were nearly unanimous in thinking we should run off the field. Let's not talk crap about supposedly being favored against semi-finalists we aren't facing. Who among us thinks ASU would have beaten PSU or ND? And those of you that claim you did, please link to comments you made about ASU before the Peach Bowl that would support that. If we want to win the natty, then we have to beat whoever it is we have to play. Beat tOSU, the worry about the finals, and don't dream about a different bracketing.
GDI
I think the committee should just select the 12 teams by whatever means including, conference championships, AP rankings, sos, eye test, etc. Once they get 12 teams then seed and go play it off, no reseed. That means a conference champion may get left out, and people will still cry if their team is left out, but I think there would be a better chance of getting the best teams and better matchups as the playoffs go forward. BTW, no special provisions for Notre Dame.

Garrett Rapport
All these look ahead lines assume Texas beats tOSU, so of course they’d have us favored. Obviously that would be Texas’ best win by far, and would indicate they’re a stronger team than power rankings imply right now.
