bierce
And if the season didn't get real enough against the Agroids, look out. Auburn is Pomeroy #1, has the most efficient offense in the country, and defends relentlessly. It shoots well from everywhere on the floor, doesn't get turned over, rebounds very well on both ends. Shedrick, Kent, and Onyema need to play out of their minds tonight against Broome and Cardwell. If we have no inside game and don't rebound several degrees of intensity better than we did against A&M, then we are toast. We have lost 3 games. We lost to tOSU because we couldn't hit threes but it could. We lost to UConn because UConn doubled us in offensive rebound %. A&M beat us by 20 because it doubled us in offensive rebounding %, we couldn't hit threes, and we couldn't stop A&M in the paint. That made for a lot of things we needed to fix in two days. Meanwhile, our next opponent, #1 in the polls Tennessee, will be in Gainesville tonight.
bierce
The last time we hosted the Pomeroy #1 team, we were hosed by a bogus blocking foul near the end of regulation when one of our guy's chests was guilty of being in the way of Shead's extended forearm. Also had a patented Tyrese Hunter turnover where he jumped in the air for no reason when we were holding for the final shot in a tie game. Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted January 7 Moderators Share Posted January 7 Auburn has scored 74 or more in every game this season ... 85 on UNC, 83 on Iowa State, 78 in loss to Duke, 90 on Memphis, 91 on Ohio State, 87 on Purdue and 84 on Missouri Saturday. Averaging 88 PPG ... a Bruce Pearl team that averages 80+ is a scary team IMO. Four guards combine to shoot 40'ish from three. Left PG Pettiford is very good off bounce

Class of 04
Auburn's gonna beat us like a rented mule. I would say they maintain a 20-25 point lead until mop up time then still win by 15+.

bierce
I'll take a 200-0 win, but I'm bothered that we didn't have a single player do anything on our first possession to help a teammate get open.
