No doubt we had other opportunities. But if they call the hold on Colin Simmons, most likely they don’t score. If we’re in the same situation on 4th and goal, we kick the field goal and are up 3. Plenty of blame to go around. But that’s an all time horrendous no call.

Agreed. Really crazy they got away with a couple blatantly obvious no calls in positions right in front of the officials. Stings but Ohio State won that game. Props to them.

There were a couple horrendous no calls. And they got points off of them as well. Is what it is, maybe next year we can run the damn ball for 1 yard up the gut and not be scared to do it.

That was the worst no call on holding since last season when B. Murph was put in a choke hold in the end zone and dk call made (against Will Howard’s K State team no less). Awful!

I think next year will be the best team we will have seen at Texas since the 05 team, from top to bottom.

I definitely hope so, worried about the defense a little bit (only cause we’re losing so much experience) and we need a speedy WR that can catch the ball unlike bond. Other than those two things I do believe we will be in the thick of it again next year.

Yea I’m bullish on the defense because we have a freak in Simmons & other really good players who will be a year older. We’ve recruited really well so I have high hopes the defense can be top 5 again. I do agree with WR. I think Bond really can catch, he showed it early in the year (think Michigan game) but that ankle injury really nagged him most of the year. I think if healthy all year it goes much differently. But need another guy or 2 if Bond goes pro on the roster imo

Hope you’re right. Question marks are a plenty though. Inexperience at QB. RB development/health. OL and DL.

Yea I’m saying that purely from a talent perspective the way we’ve stacked classes but I think it will all come together. We lost a ton of talent from last years team & this years team, though far from perfect, was a real good football team that was a few plays a way from being in the natty. I think Arch is more dynamic than Quinn & will give us an extra level of juice.
