CastleHorn88 Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 With more and more college coaches leaving the college football ranks due to more work, NIL, and the ever changing landscape. Do we think UT will have to start paying position coaches a minimum of 1 million dollars to keep their best coaching talent? Do we see that coming in the near future? @Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel Quote
Wabi Sabi Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 They'll always be climbing and we've already seen a bunch cross that threshold. I wouldn't be surprised if UT's average position coach (non-coordinator) salary hits $1mil within the next 5-10 years. But I still think young coaches on the rise will be seeking coordinator titles, even if that means taking a job for less money in order to continue climbing the ranks. 1 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted February 22, 2024 Moderators Posted February 22, 2024 Depends on what the market for their services will be in the NFL/around the country. Several Texas coaches already clear $1M at the moment. 2 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted February 22, 2024 Posted February 22, 2024 Cost of college coaches will continue to rise IMO for a multitude of factors. It won't be about more work, NIL, etc. It's going to be about revenue. The more revenue, the more the coaches who win will make. 1 Quote
