cmk4pres Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I would say we are a 4 or 5 national seed currently. Need to right the ship to stay there and not leave Austin for post season 1 Quote

Han Soul Hole Posted May 11 Posted May 11 (edited) We can go .500 in May and exit early in SEC tourney and still host regional and Super. May don't matter. Get healthy, peak in June. Edited May 11 by Han Soul Hole Fat fingers. 1 1 Quote

f1revo Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Seems like Ruger needs to be moved back to Sunday as the moment is a little big for him on Friday with the previous two outings just falling flat on his face. Can move Luke to Friday and start Burns or Grubbs Saturday? Quote

I get recency bias is a thing, but Texas still is the only SEC team with 20 wins (no other team has more than 17), has a top 3 RPI, the most Q1 wins in the country (15) and a top 12 SOS. 1 Quote
SuperDave0805 Posted May 11 Posted May 11 aggie funk must have infected the team when they played Boys haven't been the same since 1 Quote

Dont know currently and frankly don't care just my thoughts. We don't have a full rotation and have gone cold at plate. How you are playing at Memorial factors in more than most think Quote

It’s called a resume and body of work for a reason. The gap is still pretty big between Texas and everyone else regardless of what metric you look at. If we lose the series in Norman things can change but right now this is at worst the #2 overall seed and I’m still not quite sure who you are putting at 1. Arkansas, who has lost 4 of their last 5 series? LSU, who Texas beat H2H? Georgia, who just lost a series to Alabama and who Texas swept. 3 Quote

Unless Texas loses every game from now until the start of the NCAA Tournament, they'll be a top-8 seed. 2 Quote

.45s Posted May 12 Posted May 12 To make you feel better, the Aggies lost 10 to 1 today to Missouri and it was a sweep. Missouri now has 3 conference wins. 🤣🤣 1 Quote
.45s Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I was there today and we really only hit a few balls very well. With all the strikeouts on top of that it was hard to watch. Haven't heard why Gasparino came out and noticed that Jonah did not run out a couple of hit balls. Perhaps he was told not to run unless he had to because he tweaked a muscle yesterday. This team slump is a bit extended now and is becoming more worrisome for the last of the SEC season and then the playoffs. Other than Flores not being sharp, the rest of the relievers did not do a bad job. 1 Quote
Steindam Hall Posted May 12 Posted May 12 19 hours ago, Migas & Fajitas said: Are you saying we win the regular title if we win 1 out of 3 or get swept by OU? There’s a good chance. Only LSU and Arkansas can possibly catch us. But… We’ve already really clinched vs LSU, as even if we don’t win again and LSU wins out, we’d end up tied, and we swept the series against them… giving UT the tiebreaker. Our magic number over Arkansas is two. Arkansas hosts a VERY capable Tennessee squad for their last three games. Any combo of Texas wins and Arkie losses, adding up to two is a UT outright SEC Championship. If the same “magic total” is just one, we end in a tie with Arkie, but they swept us and would own the tiebreaker. Sooo… even if TX loses the OU series 1-2, they still win the SEC if Arkansas doesn’t SWEEP a very good Tennessee team. If OU breaks out the brooms and Texas limps out of the season that way, Arkansas must at least win their Tennessee series 2-1 to claim a tie & win via the tiebreaker. 1 Quote
