Dolphorn Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Coach White took some incoming flak for his pitching moves in Game 2. Turns out his decision to throw 4 different pitchers and rest Kavan (2/3 inning) was the reason Texas won the title. Canady is great but she got wore down and was not sharp. Kavan had her normal great stuff thanks to the decision White made for Game 2. Crow is being served. 12 Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Damn right. White was playing the long game all along. 🤘🏻🥎🤘🏼🥎🤘🥎🤘🏽🥎🤘🏾🥎🤘🏿 3 Quote
Austalgia Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I was thinking this yesterday, the micro coaching was about the same, but the macro was won by White. Hindsight is 20/20, the only thing that might could have been done was put Morgan back in when the freshman got a base runner, but doesn’t matter now. Little cousin sent home crying. 1 Quote
Moderators Blake Munroe Posted 8 hours ago Moderators Posted 8 hours ago I think two things can be true: 1. You could go for the kill on Friday with TK and try to end it there. 2. You save TK for Saturday and end it there. Obviously it all worked out, so that’s the most important thing! 8 Quote

horns96 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My only complaint was that he got Kavan up on Thursday at all, but I'm with @Blake Munroe, it all worked out in the end and we came within a strike of run ruling them. Quote

He knew that if it went to Game 3 that his team would have a significant advantage with a rested Kavan and a worn out Canady. Had Texas lost the first game, the pitching rotation for a Game 2 would have been different. Quote
