Bud McFadin (1948–1950, Offensive Guard):

Collegiate Career:

  Played a key role in Texas’ 7-3-1 season in 1948, including a 41-28 win over No. 8 Georgia in the Orange Bowl.

  Anchored the offensive line as a guard, known for his toughness and versatility.

  Competed in multiple sports, excelling as a boxing and wrestling champion at Texas.

Accolades:

  Consensus All-American (1950).

  All-Southwest Conference selection (1950).

  Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (1983).

 

Paul Jetton (1984–1987, Offensive Guard):

Collegiate Career:

  Started as an offensive guard, contributing to Texas’ offensive line during the mid-1980s.

  Served as a team captain, demonstrating leadership on and off the field.

  Also competed in shot put for the Texas track and field team, placing third in the 1987 Southwest Conference Championships.

Accolades:

  Two-time All-Southwest Conference selection (1986, 1987).

  Drafted in the sixth round of the 1988 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bud  McFadin probably the most underrated Longhorn ever. 
You very seldom hear his name mentioned. Total badass.
