I’m pumped about this commitment. A solid kid that has been on top of the boards for a long time. I wonder with Ojo to Tech if this helps us flip Lee later on. I don’t know if it came down to NIL for Lee or if he genuinely liked Michigan more then Texas.

Can’t find the actual instagram video but OTF streamed it. Starts around the 30 min mark

What a refreshing difference in an announcement from the clown show put on by Ojo.  Thank God we got the right one!!!  Welcome and Hook'em John Turntine!!!

I am excited about Turntine joining this class. He is technically sound, which says a lot about the potential upside for his time at UT. However, I still don’t believe he is 270 lbs, he looks closer to 250 lbs.

He weighed 268 on OV to Texas in June. 270 at Stanford in June.

What do you guys think his playing weight will be?

300-305

IMO think Kelvin Beachum (6-3, 305) and Calvin Anderson (6-4.5, 305) with elite athleticism.

Turntine is 6-3 5/8 with 81-82 inch wing span, 33 5/8 inch arms and 10 inch hands.

He's a 600 pound squatter right now at 270 pounds. He's uber athletic and strong considering how much more weight/strength he will add to his frame.

That being the case and I have no reason to doubt you Gerry, he is a lot denser physically than he looks.

Yep. Think it’s he got a lot of muscle weight.
