I watch all Texas sports.  I played baseball and some hoops.  I don't like football in general but love Texas football.  I have no clue about pro football.

So I watch the women play volleyball and basketball.  As someone above noted, they do play a legit brand of hoops.  The women have had the best true PG on campus.  No, i am not saying she could have played on the men's team.  I am saying the men could have learned to play better watching her.

She gives as good as she gets. Actually they haven't really had a chance to beat up on her because she's out with a groin again and before that a groin and a thigh before that. She's played less than half the season. And none of her injuries were do to other players being physical with her. She came into the season with a groin injury.

So what?  They have and will beat the hell out of her.  Of course, she has to defend herself because the league won’t.

I came here to see your reply to it because I thought the same.

Speaking of women's ball, and I'm going to probably get flamed for saying this, I'm ready to see what Chavez does at OU.

I KNOW what she's gonna do in Norman. She's gonna enjoy the nightlife because it's a big deal after the social scene in Lubbock.

She's also going to count her NIL dollars one at a time.

Finally, she's going to hire a Freshman student at OU to take all of her tampering communications coming out of Lubbock because there will be so many phone calls, electronic messages and snail mail letters she won't have enough time to answer them all.

Do you know any multi-millionaires who would purposely burn cash? I don't, if the W is losing as much as they say then why are people lining up to own a franchise. The math ain't mathing. People forget how much money the NBA was losing for almost 40 years. It was so bad the games was on tape delay. By every metric the W is ahead of where the NBA was at this age. Tell me how there are teams out the with valuations up to 500 million can't turn a profit with TV deals increasing and the highest paid player in the league makes 252k a year? Somebody isn't being truthful about what they're taking in.

This is not apples to apples - when the men's game started, there weren't lucrative TV contracts, social media, widely available viewing in your pocket, etc.  Throw in that it wasn't a global game at the time and the concept of athletics as a career was not a thing like it is today.

I don't think they are losing money in that it's a negative for them, I think the league isn't making money and they are in the red, but it's probably a write-off or something worked in, they are just using the words not making money (which can be true) but the owners themselves aren't losing millions.
