CoachBobbyFinstock Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 (edited) Coaches always have a list they can circle back to. It will be interesting to see who plan B is. I still hope we get an NFL guy. Edited January 23, 2024 by CoachBobbyFinstock 2 Quote
CastleHorn88 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I feel like the NFL decisions are delaying everything. I understand Sark taking his time but it also takes time away each day from the new DL coach for recruiting and building that rapport with the existing players. 2 Quote

codaxx Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Anyone have insight on what happened with the Raiders on Okam?? He seems like the floor in search. 1 Quote

David Edwards Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 We need someone who has ties to recruit either the SEC or our Texas high school teams. Of course, if we get a coach off Harbaugh's staff and we are able to compete in Big 10 country that would be a great asset. 1 Quote
CoachBobbyFinstock Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I will say that retrieving a Dline appears to harder than at first glance. I am surprised that the recruiting aspect and some loose ends weren’t already tied up with Wright. On the surface the Bo Davis departure left us by surprise. 1 Quote

The best DTs are mainly located in the old SEC area. 1 Quote

Texas Cowboy Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Texans All Pro DROTY Will Anderson might be a big reason Wright wanted to stay in Houston. Anderson mentioned him twice in a season end interview. Super young man to get to work with, with an arrow up organization. 1 Quote
Football Texas Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 (edited) So it looks like we are getting Kenny Baker from the Dolphins? Any idea on his recruiting ability? Edited January 25, 2024 by Football Texas 1 Quote

It can be a tough pull. There is a former Texas QB that was an elite NFL special teams coach that l know well. He was approached during Mack's run. Pension kept him in place.
