I’m sure the strength and conditioning staff would care about your opinion so you should email them.

This will be fun. CTJ loves nothing more than the "You're not a coach!" thing.

Will Randle and the other reserve TE seem to have the physique to play. I wonder if we see any more of them in the spring practices.

Will Randle  will be my sleeper underrated impact player over the next couple years

I send the staff strongly worded letters all of the time. I only post on message boards to fine tune my arguments with them. Otherwise, why are we here, right? It’s not like we’d be doing so in order to have our own opinions and discussions.

Like everybody else has said i am very curious to see what a 240lb savion red looks like this spring and blackshire at 261lbs is scary to think coming down hill at a running back because he’s always been a violent hitter.

The only thing “scary” about Blackshire clocking in at 261 is his cholesterol count.

Gerry, presumably they closely monitor the impact of weight (hopefully mostly muscle) on speed?  If they see a guy losing speed, do they change his lift routine and diet?  In other words, they’re not just trying to get everyone bigger at the expense of speed?

That would be hilarious if it didn't factor into the calculus. "Keep eating Johntay! We need you as big as possible."

Yes they do. not at all in terms of sacrificing speed.

IMO, Texas 2024 team will be as fast as a whole as I have seen in many years in Austin. While also having the size on the lines to compete at the highest level in the trenches

😂🤦🏾‍♂️ Oh gosh! Following a football team who are FULL of humans who are above average size sounds like something you shouldn’t do if you’re so concerned about their weights.

I am sure they are monitoring weight, but people need to realize there is only so much the staff can do. If a player is going to free base twinkies and Ho-Hos, there is nothing the staff can do about it. Fans get excited but weights, but we won’t know if it is good weight until we see them on the field.
