  1. I’ve been given this some thought lately, and I wanted to put down my top 3 players to memorialize what I am thinking at the beginning of the year. This is not an evaluation of talent, but is more of who am I rooting for the most. So I will start with what I think were my top 3 last year: 1) J Whitt - I don’t think I need an explanation here, but what Longhorn wasn’t rooting for this guy after all of his injuries 2) J Brooks - I’m from a small town in South Texas, so I hopped on the JB train early. His high school stats didn’t lie, and I was pretty upset Baxter got the start over him. 3) Jaylon Ford - From a 3 star to an All-American Honorable mention: QE’s mullet So what’s your 2024? I had a hard time in 2023 thinking about players I “liked” vs players I supported and was excited about (I.e. Worthy) My three: 1) Quinn - I know this seems obvious, but with media pressure of Arch on the bench, and the fact that we’ve watched him grow and develop so much over last year, I can’t help but cheer for this guy. Hell, he might get us a natty 2) David Gbenda - go watch 3rd and Longhorn and get back to me on this one 3) Ant Hill - I think he is a future leader on this team. It’s more than his athleticism... he feels like another lifetime Longhorn.
  2. Would you be willing to say who YOU think is the better talent? I wouldn’t seriously ask that question, so no need for response, but inquiring minds want to know. A comparison of strengths would be cool though.
  3. Agreed. Not even in the same discussion.
  4. Did we lose more than we gained? And if so, by how much? Based just on transfer portal rankings, we are a net negative in talent rankings, correct? Even with the addition of Mukuba. I realize we aren’t judging everyone based on the spring game performance, but I think it is naive to not feel the losses of Bug, Austin Jordan, and Brooks.
  5. We need all the good news we can get on Jaray Bledsoe's early returns.
  6. Where's the OTFOG tag at? Need to represent that I've been here all along! lol
  7. They have good balance already in transfer and new recruits. The ones right now being Cook, Moore, and Bond should tell you everything. Players aren’t transferring in to sit on the bench.
  8. I really hope we land Pupungatoa Katoa. I haven't seen his Hudl or have an opinion on his talent. The name is just fun to pronounce.
  9. I have a hard time seeing 4 guys that want to leave.
  10. Totally agree. It may have a bigger impact than we think.
  11. We had unbelievable gunners the last two years. I’m curious to see who Banks moves into that role. It’s great news to see guys like Jelani moving into that position. It’s the most underrated position on the field.
  12. The new landscape of football. I still hope the brand and appeal of playing at Texas these days is making an influence. It's not Saban football but getting kids in the league should still be important.
  13. This is the best UT football coverage available, and it's not even close. Not to downplay the others, but you guys have built the all-Madden cast of commentators! I just have some explaining for why I don't answer emails the first hour of everyday.... lol
