Which is why we should’ve paid $1.2 mil for Toppin 🤷🏼‍♂️

The one thing rarely mentioned ... Texas doesn't have unlimited $$$, and has to walk a line with all of that.

The amount of length added to this roster is very encouraging. Across the entire lineup Texas is adding height and wingspans here. Here's to hoping it translates to rebounds, loose balls and deflecting passes.

Have no problem with that. However, if you have a chance to land somebody who could get you to the final four, how do you walk away from that? I would hope they would pay for that. Not saying Toppin is that guy.

Except here is hoping that length can contribute in 2024-25.  Vinson looks like a bit of a project, albeit one that I very much want to watch develop.  He has nice shooting form on his jumper and can hit jumpers out to the arc, even if that shouldn't be his biggest contribution on offense down the road.  On the other hand, he is rail thin, doesn't seem to be very nimble with his feet, and he doesn't get off the ground.  He doesn't need to do much of the last because he is so long, but I seriously doubt he can give us many valuable minutes as a freshman.

But it is great to have depth.   I like the addition.
