  • HOOK 'EM | 2025 CB Caleb Chester Commits to Texas

    CJ Vogel

    Hook ‘Em!

Texas has earned a commitment from 2025 Fort Bend Marshall CB Caleb Chester following his official visit to Texas last weekend.

The Longhorns led for the 6-foot-1 cornerback coming into the weekend and made a strong enough impression on the visit for Chester to shut things down for good.

Chester was slated to officially visit Texas A&M and Arkansas over the next two weekends, so for the Longhorns to get him to shut things down was quite the victory. Chester brings great length and athleticism out wide. There is plenty to like on tape and still room for development for the next level.

Of course, the addition of Chester to the 2025 class helps the Longhorns with 2026 DB Isaiah Williams and LB Noriel Dominguez as well.

Texas is up to 11 commits in the class with two massive official visit weekends slate for the next two weeks as well.

CJ, where does Texas rank in team  recruiting after this commitment? I'm sure not much considering his 3* ranking for now. Probably will end up as a mid 4*.

    Hook Em Caleb Chester!

Nice to read Caleb is a culture fit and interested in McCombs Business. A 3* CB by all but Caleb"s offer list looks good including 8 SEC and other power programs. Highlights showed several PBUs and a few tackles. I like his 6-1 long frame. Hope he further develops and earns a 4th star.

At Texas, Caleb could contribute on special teams coverage units. If Caleb doesn't develop into a TX CB, he could develop into a 6-2 200# TX Safety.

Caleb runs track. Only time I read was a Soph 22.88 200M.

How fast is Caleb now? 40 time? 100M? 200M?

Fast enough if he is still being recruited by LSU and the Ags

Wow!  Great interview.  This kid is special and I’m glad he’s going to be a longhorn.  Hook’em

He will out perform his industry ranking … assuming he stays a three star.

    He’s an OnTexasFootball 4-star, however
