  • Official | Los Angeles Chargers Hire Jim Harbaugh

    CJ Vogel

Late breaking news Wednesday night from the NFL world that will have plenty of implications on the CFB carousel.

The Los Angeles Chargers are hiring Jim Harbaugh to be their next head coach.

Michigan players will now be eligible to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal for the next 30 days. Potential movement in the assistant coaching ranks as well.

Texas is also set to travel to Ann Arbor next year for a meeting with the National Champions during week two. A big moment for a number of reasons.

Let the games begin boys! CJ, do you see us going after any DT’s?

This kind of puts the Longhorns in a no win situation, IMO. Now if they win, "they've got a first year coach" and if they lose, they lost to a "first year coach".

    Who enters the portal?

    Who does Michigan hire?

    The answers could be intertwined..

I don't care about bragging rights against Michigan. I only care about bragging rights against Oklahoma, the aggies, Alabama, and LSU.

A win is a win against Michigan (the defending 2023 national champion).

Yeah, but I was referring more to national perception vs. bragging rights. Hopefully Michigan wins most of their other games.

I gotcha, I'm all for it. Michigan and Texas are two of the biggest brands in college football, both programs coming together to play football against each other is a huge win for tv audiences and both fan bases.

Texas beating ANY other major college football program is always good. I wouldn't ride on the coattails of that game if we get a win, but a win is a win is a win.

I’ve got a plan: Just win!
