    C&F said they graded banks the highest player on the team. My point is not to justify Quinn’s bad performance, bc it was. More so that he is singularly bearing the brunt of the criticism which I do not think is fair at all.

    Go watch the 4th quarter sack when 13 blows past banks causing the strip and tell me how that’s on Quinn you get no arguments from me on him playing poorly but I would strongly disagree that was as bad as Card.

    This morning on C&F, You said he gave up one sack, which wasn’t his fault, so his draft grade would not be impacted by that. Not sure on his draft grade but the man Banks was responsible for sacked Quinn 3 times. The one Quinn didn’t step up in to the pocket that you referenced. One where he did step up and kind of stepped in to Banks man. And a 3rd where Mykel Williams got the strip sack in the 4th quarter. I said it Monday, and maybe I’m wrong, but the focused energy on Quinn’s poor performance isn’t entirely fair. Banks, 3 sacks. Wisners drop. Robersons hold(s). On and on. Quinn did not play great, but crosshairs on him isn’t entirely fair. I will say you backed off it a bit this morning after Sarks presser so that’s good on you

    I was at the game and wanted to watch it back. A lot of the blame has been put on Quinn. He didn’t play great and I have no excuses there. But the drop by Wisner and the hold on Roberson on Goldens kick return were MASSIVE momentum killers. Both would have set Texas up in the red zone at a minimum. The Roberson hold was 20 yards from the play and had no effect on the outcome. No guarantees but if you get points out of those 2 drives, things could have played out a bit differently. There are others worth mentioning but those 2 were killers.

    These aren’t advanced analytic data points or anything, but seems like your “throw the record books out” is akin to thinking there are lower seed upsets/cinderellas frequently in march madness. since 2000, the margin of victory has been 14 or more 8 times. Double digits 10 times. The higher ranked teem has a record of 19-4 and only 3 where the lower ranked team was unranked. It’s also worth noting that one of those years Texas lost to unranked OU but was only ranked 22. The highest ranking of a team losing to an unranked team was #10. Too much work to figure out what those games are against the number but seems to be a bit of a misnomer that this game provides chaos year after year.

    Pertaining to the spread Against these lesser teams, here’s the thought I had when playing CSU. What’s difficult to gauge when betting these big lines is when will the starters come out and how will the backups perform against the other teams starters. Our starters are going to play at least a half. But what happens then? Arch, cook, niblack, Wingo, , etc come in. There are too many mouths to feed is the point here. Until the walk ons come in late 4th, this thing has no choice but to continue piling on. I’m shocked the line is only 35 when TX ST beat these guys by 40+. Only thing you can’t account for is a major let down.

    Having a little bit of fun here, but as a bit of a weather nerd, you guys are misleading folks about the weather forecast. The high temperature on Saturday is forecast at 96°. I heard on coffee and football it’s going to be mid 70’s. While maybe not a pressure cooker like it was at CSU, looking for temps in the 70’s during the game is gonna be a reach. The LOW temperature on Saturday is going to be mid 70’s but that typically happens well after midnight.

    Does this mean anything when a recruit says this? Just for example, if DK Moore picks Oregon and says my recruitment is shut down, does that mean Sark cannot contact him? Or just meaningless words like “respect my decision”.
