  1. All depends on who you believe. There is one prominent site that is claiming Nike was a big player in DK’s recruitment. Kind of alludes to a shoe deal or something of the sort. So is it possible the cash was the same but Nike sweetened it beyond that promising something beyond money? I trust Gerry more than anyone on this stuff. Just pointing out that it’s out there that everything may not be as it seems.
  2. 1. So did Texas - apparently.
  3. Only doing this bc I find myself extremely bored on this Friday afternoon. I’ve consumed way more of this DK Moore stuff than I normally should/would have and that includes tidbits from this site, IT and OB. One thing seems clear, there is no “good” explanation for what happened. That said, here is what I’ve gathered. DK was committed to Texas (“silently”) He wasn’t even going to take the Oregon OV It was always thought, from the beginning, that it would be Texas. Texas either matched or had the best NIL deal of anyone. the idea of doing his own thing wasn’t his own he was planning to commit in August, until recently. To me, who admittedly knows nothing, what all of this means is that this was a bit knee jerky on DK’s part. Unless he’s burned the bridge with Texas, which has been implied elsewhere, I don’t think this one’s over in spite of what has been said on this site and maybe from the player. How can the LSU decision be considered an emotional one resulting from his admiration for OBJ but the Oregon commitment not be that when they weren’t even under consideration one week prior. If this was a money whip situation I could see it, but that apparently is not the case. It’s always been Texas and the fact that he got sold some fairy tale to “be different”, which may temporarily distract him, it stands to reason there’s a good chance the kid comes back around. family, arch, sark, proven NFL track record, NIL. Too many things in Texas favor here. Wouldn’t be the first time a kid decommitted more than once. Just my opinion and if nothing else, killed 2 minutes of my unproductive day.
  4. It’s not that serious man. Others say silent, Gerry says Hi. What’s the difference? Neither is a game they just can’t disclose info or ability to gather info in the future will not exist.
  5. @Gerry Hamilton does the tracker need any updates based on last nights festivities?
  6. If nobody has called a school, how are the Oregon and Texas sites hearing “buzz”? Don’t get.
  7. Right but one of the HI’s may very well have been one of Charles, Sharma or brew (I.e. un-hi).
  8. Should there be one?
  9. @Bobby Burton talking about Arch and getting clicks, you asked does it get clicks from Texas fans? 100%. I don’t know what the percentage is but there are a lot of Texas fans who aren’t on here and don’t know much of anything about Texas football other than the score of the game and the team record. They see these articles and videos and perpetuate the narrative. @Gerry Hamilton question on arm strength. I LOVE Arch and thought he was amazing but seems he has to put his whole body in to it to get it to the outside and that Hail Mary didn’t get to the end zone from about 55 yards. Could very well have been throwing to a spot. Vs Quinn, that throw to X vs Alabama. He threw it close to 60 and was just an arm flick. Thoughts here? First time seeing him so genuine question…
  10. Same here. Just add 4 months for me please.
  11. That is true. Seems like they are so timid.
  12. Tyrese Hunter, SmH. Unbelievable.
  13. I mean. It’s not an exact science. Texas hasn’t been in the top 25 in a long time. An 8 seed directionally means you are 29-32 which is probably right. Splitting hairs to say we are a 7 vs 8. I also think the margin for being in the field was razor thin 2 weeks ago. Most agreed they needed to go 2-2 over the last 4. They handled business going 3-1. Now they are in no question. Wasn’t the case 14 days ago.
  14. My take, both should. Mitchell’s athleticism gets him drafted but his basketball IQ seems really low and his offensive game is almost zero. Hunter is a pro if he can develop a mid-range game as Gerry has pointed out. He’s had a really poor season relative to expectations. Put a full season together like he did today and he’s for sure in the league imo.
  15. @Gerry Hamilton I wasn’t able to watch all of C&F, but what is driving your commentary on Disu being out long term? He showed up to media availability yesterday with no brace and said he will try to play Saturday. Sounds like a guy that’s more day to day than out long term. Just a gut feel?
  16. @Gerry Hamilton how do you feel about hypotheticals? What does this team look like if Walter had have come to the good guys?
  17. @Blake Munroemy wife’s family is in Borger. Her uncle lost his house in Fritch. Borger fam all ok so far. Scary stuff.
  18. Don’t know that the punishment fits the crime but when applying letter of the law, I think they got it right. Brock clearly alters his original path and checks him pretty good. Had they just run in to each other, I’d agree.
  19. I haven’t seen every game but last night was the most energy, the most focused I’ve seen all year. There usually are defensive breakdowns, uncontested easy looks, stagnant offense, etc. last night was mostly the opposite. They actually looked like a good team.
  20. Right, but why does he care? He’s not the one writing the check. And if Texas thinks it has its guy, why risk allowing him to be money whipped into changing jobs? The going rate for a CFP coach is $10 mil. On its own, the article may be just an opinion piece. But follow his series of writing and it just comes across as unnecessarily negative.
  21. He’s been a sportswriter in austin for decades. Just seems to go out of his way to dump on Texas. This particular article is just nothing more than useless.
  22. Texas isn’t in the SEC yet technically. Are they?
  23. This may be a few days d but his article griping about Sarks contract popped up in my feed. Good to know he personally would have give. Him $8 instead of $10…. Compares it to Jumbo’s deal. The two are not remotely the same. Why does this guy go out of his way to talk trash about Texas? Slow news cycle I guess?
  24. Sweeping the home games is an absolute must. While possible, seems unlikely they will get one on the road.
