By the time the next RRR starts it will be almost 1100 days since OU has scored a TD against UT.

The same publications, websites, and pundits who proclaimed him the Heisman favorite, and future #1 pick are now tearing him down because Arch did not live up to their unrealistic projections. Just as Gerry has said.

Maybe this will provide some incentive for the team, an us versus the world attitude.

Not my intention at all. In this century the 2000-2008 years were dominated by Applewhite, Simms, VY, and Colt. Since then, till Quinn, there have been a succession of less than stellar QB play. Some was due to injury (David Ash) and some was due to poor choices on whom to offer that were made by our coaching staff. I believe Quinn will be more fondly remembered in the years to come than he is now.

I am sure this was said in jest, and I get that. However, from the time Colt graduated till Quinn started his first game, I cannot think of a QB I would take over Quinn. Sam would be the closest but I would still go with Quinn.

I, for one, am not going to sour on Arch (as I have seen many do nationally and locally) after one poor game. We have all seen the talent on display. We saw a few flashes of it yesterday. Our Oline will continue to improve, our RBs will only get stronger, and our WRs (while apparently lacking a true game changer like OSU or Alabama has) have more than enough size and speed to concern 99% of DCs in America. I believe we will see considerable improvement over the next 4-5 games.

I already have the mug and the white cap. I am expecting my new orange cap to be delivered today.

Not arguing with your statement but I would reword it. Florida athletes, according to Gerry, do not come out of HS as finished a product as players from Texas or Georgia. This is due to no athletic period, few full time coaches, lesser facilities, playing on more grass fields, and just a general less if an emphasis placed upon HS football in that state.

I, like many on this board, have been a member (or at least followed them for a period) of all of the major UT recruiting sites. I have read or seen on YouTube or elsewhere all he major players from our own Bobby and Gerry to Ketch, Chip, Eric Nahlin, TSU, etc. and I sincerely believe that OTF covers UT sports as well as or better than all the rest. There are pluses and minuses to all the sites but OTF has far more pluses than all the others.

IMO, Leaks is the best. Here is a game from 1973 in which he rushed for over 190 yards and two TDs. The quality is poor at times and there is only background music added since it is a coach’s film.

I am not sure how the OTF mods would feel about others posting their premium content on other platforms so I am reluctant to mention names. However, there are really only two other Longhorn websites. OTF, especially its video content, is far superior to either IT and OB. That particular nugget came from the latter.
