Maybe not Nibbs because he's getting some run... but yeah..the others..definitely. I could also see Colton Vasek leaving.. no way they're considering another edge without something being awry. Where there's π¨... there's π₯.π€πΏ

So.... I've stated here a few times that when we lost out on D.K. Moore... initially, I like many, was devastated. Then I quickly reevaluated the situation and the job done by this staff so far, and I started asking myself the right questions. Granny used to say time reveals all. She was so right. So, he chose Oregon...right? Dan Lanning...right? Of course we know Coach Samples and Phil Knight mainly got it done, along with Evan Stewart's co-sign... but in effect, he chose a coach that doesn't do it for clicks...right? Well, why the hell is this freshman reciever that hasn't played a down appearing on The Pivot, with a kid who chose the very same coach he threw stones at? Why isn't there some national outrage about Dan Lanning letting his freshman that haven't done jack π© parade around like he's a Buffalo... doing it for the "clicks"? Also, why would I wanna play for such a hypocrite? There are some other elements at play here that the family isn't in tune to. This kid is all about himself. He never would've fit any culture Wednesday. I'm not saying he's a bad kid... im saying he's a self-centered kid...very self contained and too many people have told this kid how good he was for way too long. Long on talent..short on humility. I'm glad Sark does things the way he does things here. I like guys investing in the work, the process. Arch and the Manning family did it right. Until he earned the right to be in front of a camera, he worked. He didn't ride on his name or what he'd done in high school. CB4 wasn't on every pod he could get on being the #1 rb in his class. Colin Simmons...good lord! I could go on and on! It's the content of the character..it matters.. and it's why Texas is finally BACK!! π€πΏ

Ok... all you guys screaming about what we need in the portal. Rub the bottle... let ol' Jenny Boom Boom out the bottle, and give me a Wr transfer portal candidate. Remember your wishes... must be an upperclassmen worthy of starting, and putting Parker on the bench. This guy, whoever he was, didn't go into the portal after the season, he stayed... didn't like either the money or the regime change, and is looking for greener pastures. Speed dating... but this is your wish. Rub the bottle, and tell me which of these 4 and 5 star young guys you wanna take reps from to "assure" a championship caliber offense. May your wish be granted.... I so wanna see these responses..π€£π€·πΏββοΈπ€πΏ

Question for the community
817 Boxing B replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
RT had a team full of transfers... all one on one players... and needed some layup games for continuity.. and the injuries still derailed that. Texas invests way more into football than basketball. JT Toppin was player of the year in the Big 12... but we found a way to pay Justus Terry to leave Georgia. Apples to oranges. Instead of holding RT to such a standard.. how about those board members and the collective that didn't see fit to pay to play. We're talking about RT and BYU committed how many millions for Dybasanta next year? It's who Texas wants to represent their brand and what the folks with the money are comfortable with... when it comes to the recruits you see at Texas. That's why the kid from Carter experiment was so big. He blew it... and it turned off the important people off from going back into the hood for more talent. Keep getting soft suburban guys and we'll keep getting our π handed to us....π€πΏπ€·πΏββοΈ -
Question for the community
817 Boxing B replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
1. Yes.... the SEC was historic this year, in terms of talent and competition. They lost to a Tennessee team that will play for the SEC conference title. Sneaking in as a play in game sucks cheeks... but I'll take it. 2. Yes. RT had 2 tough years.. for different reasons... but hearing him coach with passion and emotion through that Texas A&M game and seeing true Texas fight start to be evident throughout the roster, I wanna see these guys lock in and fight for the state.. fight for the school... fight for their coach.. and more importantly... fight to leave a better taste in the fans mouth after such a roller-coaster season. Put some respect on your name. Go put on that slipper for a few games and dance!!π€πΏπ₯π₯π₯π₯ -
When he made it to the NFL, he couldn't do one thing well. The Cowboys took a flyer on him, and I had family, by marriage, in the building. They watched him all camp. π€·πΏββοΈ. It was the argument for many players from our program at the time. Either they played out of position at Texas, relative to what the NFL needed from them, or they just weren't NFL ready. Jackson Jeffcoat was another guy... got accolades in college, but the NFL is different. That's why it's amazing what Sark is doing, and has done, since being here. Pretty decent success rate on the talent going to the NFL and being productive in the short time he's been here.. but if you loom at his recruits throughout his coaching career..... lot more success than failures.

Do you truly believe that front office is going to let him play through his mistakes, like Josh Allen got to... or does signing a young QB, who was drafted highly, signal that they will move on to something more "traditional" sooner, rather than later? I'm thinking you wanna push the kid... not have someone beat him out, or be somebody the fan base will readily be looking for to get some clock. They knew when they drafted him he'd only started 10 games. They also put him out there too quick instead of letting Sam rock. Just my opinions...

Willing to coach Onomatopoeia St... -Brennan Marion -
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard from a coach. Truly an example of "Making America Great" again. Bro, Tik Tok is the furthest thing from anybodies mind when the ball is kicked off. You don't lose games because guys danced on Tik Tok. Can they dance on Instagram from the locker room? After a win, they sing the fight song... and leave. Sure sounds like a place the kids in 2025 wanna be. How much money are they offering again for me NOT to have fun in this millennium? Ban what you don't understand is typical of old ass people who don't like change unless it's back to what's comfy for them. Stupid rule and it's a distraction... something that he thinks establishes culture, but is actually a recruiting deterrent, imo. There's a million ways to implement discipline in your program without being a deterrent or detriment to your program. Imagine Arch getting his π hammered (pauseπ€£) by Sark after his TD celebration... because we wanna promote a "tough" image and culture...?! π€¦πΏββοΈπ€£π€πΏ

Great post but what a game!! Heart was in my throat!! The Horns found every way to give the game back to the Bulldogs, and they damn near did. Tre has to be more consistent on the defensive end. The way to the floor in the NBA starts on the defensive end and right now, he is widely inconsistent. The physicality of the SEC is too much for thsi year's team. The lack of strong handle by the PG position and poor contact balance really shows up in conference play. Nobody can really play through contact on this team. Too often do I see Horns lose the ball or hitting the floor on contact. Gotta be maddening for RT to watch them melt down and then make the decision to fight or give up every single game. Anyways.. keep up the good work and this bubble life has my stomach... bubbling...π©π€£π€£π€£π€£π€¦πΏββοΈπ€πΏπ«‘

Great minds think alike...4.4 will be a death nail though. He needs 4.3 something along with the tape to get an honest look, IMO...π«‘π€πΏ

I'm going 4.37 and he will high jump 38 1/2. The route running and hands are going to be a major bonus. He, along with Helm and Golden, are the guys who went and got footballs for Quinn. Not much tape... but all of his tape is playmaking tape. Whether it's catches, returns, or hustle plays... they all were game winning plays... chain movers. He's going to find a spot on someone's roster and if he doesn't, it would be a travesty.

Guys.. I don't know about you, but my main man Silas Bolden has to be on somebody's roster. Pro Day is monumental for him, in my opinion. Call your shot.. what does he run in the 40? Will he make a catch or 2 for Quinn that will catch the eyes of the numerous scouts that will be in attendance? His heart and explosiveness definitely could be used in today's NFL, especially with the dynamic kickoff rules. Any other Horns that need a big pro day to be a late day 3 pick or be a priority UDFA? Thoughts?
