Georgia was recruiting well before Kirby. They weren't winning enough. Kirby developed the talent already on campus and continued to develop the talent he recruited. Sark has done the same thing at Texas only Texas cupboard was nowhere near what Kirby inherited from Richt. Coach Richt just couldn't win enough not for lack of talent.
