I would have enjoyed it more if I knew it was going to end. Barnes fell off a cliff. Specifically, at Texas I have Smart over Wetlich. At least the crowds were bigger. During the Wetlich era, you could sit on the lower level of the Erwin Center and hear crickets chirping in bathrooms on the second level.

I am more interested in what happens if it’s a blowout on the home field. CDC, quarterback, Sark and a dozen other things are going to get white hot.

We have a great coach and team. Why Beard and Terry’s name come up are baffling to me.

Well Arch has a chip on his shoulder and is going to let it rip. Four years for him to get there. Few blitzes and he’s back to his usual self. 7-5.

It’s isolating that school more and more.

If it goes sideways Arch will get booed again as will Sark.

I don’t understand why Texas wants Arch, a guy struggling with confidence and pressure, knowing all week he could be replaced. That just makes his issue worse. Just announce Lacey is starting.

He does love basketball season.

Manning has been around the best his whole life. He’s been taught essentially since he was five. Freezing on a blitz, not throwing it away, not seeing the field. Those are all things Manning has already been shown his whole life. Not worried at all about how he would thrive somewhere else. Those are fundamentals the family has burned into his head. The switch will not suddenly flip with a new OC.

What’s worse? Arch was never that good? Sark managed to get back to back five start quarterbacks and not develop them?

Sark is becoming a punchline nationally. Manning isn’t the problem nationally, Sark is the problem. And that really hurts the brand. He looked at this offensive line and said that’s enough. He kept the same oline coach. He mouths off to the media about checking the track record of the special teams coach. He knows damn well it’s bad. Off all the recruits to miss on Manning is the worst one possible. It’s how did he screw up Arch? How did he screw up an offense giving all the money spent? He chose his ego over common sense. Texas has to run the table get to the CFP. If he doesn’t it’s only going to get worse.

A lot of quarterbacks have strong arms and can run. They just don’t do it very well. He’s been here four years and doesn’t know the offense? The coach/oc has not changed. How many more years does he need?

Ankle sprains can be tapped up and ready to go the next week. Is there really any benefit in him doing that?

What gifts does he have? We have had strong arm quarterbacks before. We have had quarterbacks that can run. Arch is not accurate, he can’t see the field or handle a blitz. Quite certain the NFL is seeing that.
