  1. Texas wins the point after consecutive overpasses by our backline, but each putback by UK deflected and saved or blocked. Then UK overpassed and Singletary stuffed it. Then UK hit long. Starting to open this set up. 15-10. UK timeout.
  2. Back to back middle kills (Ames, Singletary) follwed by Singletary solo block has TExasa up 2. make that 3 after another block. 12-9
  3. UK is coached by a . . . Bald dude.
  4. It means nothing for Texas. Texas trashed Michigan in Ann Arbor and OU on a neutral field. Texas remains #1 unless/until it loses a game. If Texas wins the SEC championship game, it gets a 1-4 seed. If it doesn't, then it doesn't. Whatever happens in the B1G or any other conference won't change that.
  5. Beating OU this year compared to beating OU in previous years? I don't think so. Great win, but better than 1977 or 2005 or 2009 or 2022 or any other year we trashed the dirt burglars? Maybe the SEC slogan ("It just means more") s a bunch of bs.

  6. Wisner defines badassery in running backs.
  7. Terrific match, btw. Purdue up 2-1 and managed three straight blocks to close to 17-15 in the fourth set bevore Nebraska managed a back row kill. Now 19-16 NU with Purdue serving. And the Purdue coach is still bald.
  8. It's truly astounding. I'm watching Purdue against Nebraska. Purdue coach is a chrome dome. WTF.
  9. The Chiefs in an early season NFL game, or The Royals in an AL divisional playoff game, or The Bombers, with Jo Tejada's talents on full display?
  10. That would certainly be a thing.
  11. And in the last three possessions of the half, your team was in or near the red zone, and 1) he suffered a strip sack, 2) on 3rd and 16, you run up the middle for a short gain when you are in easy fg range even if you take a sack, and 3) he threw a horrible pick at the goal line. Money well spent? Cowboys still lead going to the half and can win this game, but . . . damn.
  12. Championships by conference from 2000-2023 Big Ten -- 11 Pac12 -- 9 BIg 12 -- 3 (all Texas) SEC -- 1 (and we took two of their hitters)
  13. Easy 3 set sweep of the match, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14 over #18 Florida. Kills were even at 36, but blocking and serving were the big differences--12 blocks by us, 5 by them. Singletary with 2 solo and 8 assists. Kahahawai with 6 assists. 6/6 aces/errors by Texas serving, 4/11 by Florida. Next match not until next Sunday in Lexington against #13 Kentucky which is 9-6, 3-1 on the season. UK is 0-5 against top ten teams, losing 3-1 to Nebraska, Louisville, Stanford, and Purdue and 3-2 to Penn State. Texas leads the SEC at 4-0 and is 12-1 in sets, dropping only the second set against A&M in the conference opener. Our conference opponents so far have a combined .500 record against the rest of the conference.
  14. Kentucky beat Ole Miss, but the rest of your point is silly. Road and home balance out over the season, so why claim a specific game favors doesn't favor us because our game is on the road while theirs in at home? Anyone can see the schedule is much tougher for OU than us, so don't try to pretend otherwise. We play two ranked SEC teams other than OU, while OU plays 5 ranked SEC other than us. Get real.
  15. Sorry, but I'm always going to believe it was because the SEC wanted Texas and agreed to take the dirt thieves only to make an even number.
  16. Because Rice and Wyoming and UL Monroe and UTEP and Tulsa were so much better.
  17. Take away the plural, and the answer is Jerry Jones.
  18. OU hate week. Hate month. Hate year. Hate decade. Hate century. Hate over two different millennia.
  19. Texas up 24-20. Singletary with a couple of kills in this stretch. We had just way too many weapons on the front line tonight for USCe to cope. Subtract the service errors, and this would have been 3 straight laughers. Match. 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.
  20. three straight service errors, 2 by them. 20-16.
  21. Kill by USCe followed by triple block by Singletary, Kahahawai, and Wenaas. 18-13.
  22. Singletary/Kahahawai block. 17-12. Singletary's 7th, Kahahawai's 5th.
  23. Timeout Texas after USCe 3 point run to close it to 16-12.
  24. USCe's last two points on Texas serving errors. 14-8 Texas. Last point by Texas was incredible middle smash by Ames. Nebraska will miss her.
  25. Kahahawai having another good match. Hitting .400 so far with 4 blocks. Ames hitting .417. Texas up 8-4 after long rally ended with Wenaas kill. Texas has 6 players with 5 kills or more. USCe has only 3 with more than 2. Wenaas with a dink that falls in. 10-4 Texas, timeout USCe.
