  1. If you are wondering where my ply by play is, then look on the PF John Clark commits to Texas thread. Oops. But Rutherford just crushed one to put us up 16-13 in the first set. So far our blockers are deflecting most Miz hits, but one just got through, followed by Skinner kill from weakside. 17-14. Wenaas hit wide. 17-15. Singletary dink middle falls in. 18-15.
  2. Missouri is challenging for SEC conference lead, but it has lost all matches against ranked teams in straight sets so far, averaging just under 20 points per set. It did take A&M to 5 sets in College Station, so it isn't terrible, but if we are focused to bounce back from last week's poor showing, then this should not be a terribly tough match.
  3. For reference, the cfp top 12 last year were all B1G, SEC, Pac 12, Big 12, and ACC teams with 2 losses or fewer. Only other teams in top 25 with 2 or fewer losses were Group of 5 Liberty and SMU (now an ACC team). If something similar happens this year, then we would have to fall behind every other 2 loss team to miss the playoffs.
  4. Imagine if we were so beloved of the NCAA that we could have a televised exhibition game.
  5. And we still kicked Buffalo booty. Where was the scrimmage, btw?
  6. Pryor reclassified and was expected to redshirt last year. He played a grand total of 25 minutes, only 14 after the season opening blow-out of Incarnate Word, and only 4 minutes in conference play. Presley played 308 minutes last year and averaged 25 minutes a game in Vandy's last three games last year. We have a ton of guys who can score. Presley is supposed to be a lockdown defender. I completely understand why he might have an edge, however slight, over Pryor for pt at this time.
  7. For all we know, the lineup on the floor at the end was three walk-ons with Presley and Pryor. Which still could have been an opportunity to see what we might be able to do with a lineup on the floor of everyone around 6'6".
  8. Nussmeier. A&M game mvp now.
  9. I doubt Weigman will play much again this year.
  10. A&M DL is tough. LSU is also f'ing up. 3 botched fgs so far.
  11. Agroids doing agroid things. 27 yards of penalties on a play in which they were about to force a turnover on downs. Then Turner got away with a late punch on a runner on the ground.
  12. Even on a good ankle, that would have been a dumb throw. Nussmeier just put A&M back in the game.
  13. Agroid defense just ran out of field to catch him.
  14. Skinner finished with best match in some time. Texas 5-0 run turned around 5th set, but A&m responded with 8-3 run to take 5th set 18-16. Cos-okpalla was huge down the stretch.
  15. Not net. Call stands. 19-18 A&M with Texas on a 6-0 run. Lednicky kill as Halter dig goes into the stands. 20-18. Lednicky hit wide. A&M asking for a touch. 20-19. Hellmuth kill. 21-19. A&M serve error. 21-20. Hellmuth kill. 22-20. she's finally hitting in positive numbers. Wenaas blocked. 23-20. bunton kill. 23-21. Thank you A&M overpass. Kahahawai served long. 24-21. Lednicky kill. 25-21 Agroids. Sets 2-2. Really turning play by play off now. Opening a polling location tomorrow.
  16. Lednicky blocked by Singletary/Skinner. 19-18. Awesome run. A&M challenging whether a net violation.
  17. And again. She has been so-so this season, but boy has she shown up tonight when we most needed her. 19-17.
  18. Another kill by Skinner. 19-16. She's carrying us.
  19. Rally by Texas from down 18-10 to close to 19-15 with Skinner making several kills. She is up to 17 kills and hitting .450. Last 5 Texas points on 4 Skinner kills and a Halter ace.
  20. Kahahawai with a great kill strongside. 1-1. Hellmuth kill. Skinner long from back row. 3-1. A&M Shutting down play by play tonight. Hook 'em, ladies.
  21. A couple of things to mention-- Bunton rotated in as middle blocker instead of Ames that third set. Ames was kind of getting worked by Cos-Okpalla. Bunton had her first kill and first two blocks of her career. Skinner is on a roll. So is Rutherford. Kahahawai is struggling a bit as a hitter but is still tied for 2nd in points thanks to aces and blocks.
  22. We're outhitting A&M .367 to .192 this set and we're up just one point. Skinner kill weakside down line. 24-22. Hellmuth kill. 24-23. She finally got one past blockers. Long, long point with Lednicky denied multiple times, ending in Lednicky hitting wide. Set Texas 25-23.
  23. Rutherford kill. 22-19. She's nailing them right now and we are on a run on Halter's serve. A&M dink fell in. 22-20. hellmuth blocked by Rutherford. 23-20. Carlson serve error. 23-21. Wenaas fumbles serve. 23-22. Timeout Texas.
  24. A&M serve just long. 18-17 Texas. Kahahawai serve into net. 18 all. Rutherford crushed it cross court to land inside spike line. 19-18 Texasa. Lednicky kill off block. 19 all skinner kill with two handed tap of overpass. 20-19. Rutherford kill of overpass. 21-19. We're winning this set thanks to A&M passing errors. Timeout Agroids.
  25. Accidentally erased last 8 points of play by play. A&M tied it up at 15, but Skinner kill and Bunton block put us back up 17-15. akana long on serve. 17-16. Kahahawai sailed one. 17 all
