  1. Skinner served into net. 25-24 UW Singletary with a laser shot on the slide. 25 all UW hits long. 26-25 Texas. Same UW hitter goes crosscourt and in. 26 all. SKinner with a nuke from back row. 27-26 Texas. UW off block out of bounds. 27 all.
  2. Halter with an NCAA tournament quality dig, but Texas passed ball over, and UW got the kill anyway. 24-22. SKinner dink blocked out of bounds. One set point survived. UW in net. 24-24. It was egregious. But setting Wenaas against Smrek might not be good odds for us.
  3. UW returns Wenaas's hit into the net. 21-19. Wenaas serve long. 22-19. Rutherford had to dink, UW could only free ball back. Rutherford gets kill on next swing. 22-20. SKinner with kill. 22-21. Texas saved one by going nearly into the stands, but UW got kill after Texas freeball. 23-21. Rutherford kill. 23-22. I love havinng a lefthander on that side.
  4. Ames hit from middle went wide. 20-18 Wenaas weak side went out. 21-18. Texas's second timeout.
  5. Kind of an odd rotation to not have either Rutherford or Skinner on the front line. Skinner is a hell of a back row weapon, but I have to think she, Rutherford, and Singletary will be our best front row weapons. But Ames just ended UW's run with a strong hit off block on the slide. UW came back with a kill. 19-18 UW
  6. Wisconsin kill followed by Ames getting blocked in the midde and Wenaas not clearing the tape. 17-17
  7. A little different rotation than was the peak rotation last year. We spent most of year with Skinner, O'Neal, and Phillips on the front line when Halter was serving, and we would run of 5 or 6 points on her serve regularly. RIght now we have Swinder, Wenaas, and Ames on the front line with Halter serving. Skinner hitting from the back row.
  8. Wenaas off block. 16-14 Texas. UW line shot wide. 17-14. UW second timeout. 8-1 Texas run.
  9. Ace by Skinner. 13-13. UW strong side smash off block falls in. 14-13 UW Same hitter blocked by Singletary. 14-14 Halter ace 15-14 Texas. Timeout UW. Nice run.
  10. Swindle just caught Wiscy defense off guard with a dump, followed by a POY sort of smash from the backrow by Skinner. 13-11 UW
  11. Offense off kilter right now. Poor ratio of hard swings to dinks so far.
  12. Pretty good odds that would get us a spot in the SEC championship game. Here are the ranked conference opponents for the other 3 teams ranked in the top ten preseason. Alabama has 5 ranked conference opponents, 3 of those on the road, but it hosts Georgia which is the only top ten team among them. Georgia three top 6 opponents on the road and a home game against Tennessee. Ole Miss has a relatively easy schedule--hosting Georgia and OU and going to Baton Rouge for its only games against ranked conference opponents.
  13. And we manage to get exposure without doing some stupid silly s*** in a football stadium.
  14. Our collection of front line weapons is unreal.
  15. Lunardi definitely elevates Mississippi State from the conference's third tier.
  16. On every college campus and in every college town, the most overrated team in mid-August is the home team. That, and Notre Dame.
  17. Predicting Tragic Scenarios is definitely a Disorder Seriously? We should lose sleep over hosting the team picked to finish in the Mountain West 5th by the coaches and 6th by the media?
  18. Is this really the case? Iowa State had the most q1 wins and the best record in q1 games of the teams contending for the fourth 1 seed, and it was not only passed over for the last 1 seed, it was given the worst 2 seed, being forced into a region against overall #1 UConn. While you have listed teams that were seeded in the top 4 that had below average nonconference SOS, what about Purdue--9th Tennessee--19th UNC--35th Arizona--12th Marquette--23rd Creighton--67th Alabama--16th Baylor--93rd Kansas--62nd
  19. UH scheduled in 2023-24 the way I imagine we should. A three round exempt tournament, a true road game against a highly regarded P5 team, a neutral site game against another highly regarded P5 team, 7 games against Pomeroy 145-230, and just 2 games against teams over 230.
  20. We can hope NMSU has a pulse this year, but that program may need a few years to recover from losing Jans.
  21. For many years I have lobbied for noncon schedules to include games against some of the better non P5 teams in Texas, and maybe even scheduling 2 for 1s against the likes of SFA and Sam Houston State. Instead we get MVSU, APB, HCU, Chicago State, and other dreck. Abysmal.
  22. Be hard to bottom the 2016-17 team which lost at home to Kent State and UT-Arlington on its way to a 6-7 non-conference record and just one non-conference win over a top 100 team.
  23. Bill Walton level HORRRRRRRRRIBLE! We have games against teams that finished 362, 355, 342, 331, 325, 295, 290, and 289 in Pomeroy in 2024. That's ridiculous.
