  1. Adding a third. Things can change in a heartbeat. I don’t want to speak it into existence, but Sark could leave for the NFL or any number of other bad things could happen to set the program back. Strike while the iron is hot applies.
  2. I understand what you’re saying. Yes, Texas will still be Texas after Arch, and Sark is putting together a monster that will be elite for the foreseeable future. But I think the all in mindset is really two things. 1. People think Arch has the potential to be a generational player. Guys that level like Young, Newton, Burrow, etc. win Nattys, and it’s smart to do everything to support them to do so. 2. If he is that level of player and Texas doesn’t go all in and win it all, that becomes a negative recruiting tool. With NIL that stuff may not matter as much as it used to, but it’s still a thing. Also beyond recruiting I’m sure the staff doesn’t want to be labeled “couldn’t win it even with Arch”.
  3. Biggest impact? 1. Texas defense. Should be the best unit on the field matched up against a young qb in his first game in a new system. I’ll be shocked if Ohio State scores in the 20s or higher. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see a defensive score. 2. Turnovers. This could negate #1. Texas needs to hold on to the ball
  4. Was the flight running a deep fade?
  5. I messaged @Immamac
  6. It’s the most mediocre day of the year
  7. People on here reading the title -
  8. I can’t say I love all the changes to cfb over the last few years, but I’m more excited for this Ohio state game than I have been for an early season game ever. In the preplayoff era I used to have a combination of excitement and dread for these games knowing that a loss could sink the whole season. For example, if Ohio st had won the 2005 game there’s a good chance they’d have played USC in the Rose Bowl. Looking back it was crazy that the season was always on the line in the first or second game. Now with the playoff a loss would suck, but it wouldn’t derail the whole season. I hope we continue to schedule these big time games early. I’m here for it.
  9. As if there weren’t enough moving parts with the house settlement, portal windows, NLI changes, realignment, and so on… Got to be challenging to navigate
  10. If you’re adventurous there are all kinds of opportunities to teach overseas. Not just teaching English but all subjects. Private American schools all over the place. Good luck!
  11. Stay away from Baxter. Not sure he even plays. If they’re giving better than +1900 on Clark that’s the play.
  12. Thanks CJ. Will be interesting to see if Texas’s finish strong approach works with the changes this year.
  13. CJ was answering a question about how many freshman would start, not giving his whole philosophy on roster management.
  14. Thanks Bobby. Least reassuring part of the article -
