  1. With the Wild, Wild, West scenario that is currently unfolding, to include the possibility of SEC and Big 10 breaking away from anything that is believed or defined today (definition of amateur or professional) - the NFL seems oblivious to it all. TV contracts would seem to be the factor that appoints the rule vs the exception. Seems the NFL better get in the game, before they become the exception and the new rule is defined. Not being aware of the details of the recent court ruling that blurs the line between pro and amateur. It feels similar to the birth of the NFL when the upstart AFL rose to its limelight and todays NFL was born. Much more of a threat than the USFL, or the other wannabe leagues that popped up. Not sure what my point is, but the NFL needs to wake up and realize that just because something is the way it is today, tomorrow is not guaranteed. Football will always be, but maybe structured differently into the 2030's.
  2. Fuc the attitude natives here. Some folks need to get a life away from this board. Post whatever you want. Some people actually seek knowledge from several places, and put it all together, rather then read just one board. The smart asses are the ones who did not attend the university or they would understand how to read and listen. Imagine having an employee as such. Fired!
  3. Surprised...Maybe Schloss plan is to sneak up on them in the middle innings. Cause he certainly didn't have them ready to play in the first innings. BTW did not realize Ravesh is such a prick. His passive aggressive mouth is running tired.
  4. The Horns will not achieve their goals if they continually get flagged before the ball is even snapped. Which is pretty much knowing where your supposed to lineup, a ton of dead ball fouls last year. Throw in other movement related flags, (movement, false starts) and a drive can be squelched before it ever gets started. How many 3 and outs last year were accompanied with a penalty on 1st or 2nd downs. 3rd and longs were mostly result of penalty situations? DPI's is something perhaps Muschamp can help with. The defense does not seem to have the ability to realize its time to take the flag, commit the foul, and then be able to overcome that and 3 plays later have an offense lining up to punt. If Muschamp can teach that things will be better. I guess the cheat code to discipline these days is penalties? Discipline also entails fundamental traits like a DE knowing how to stay home, or a CB "knowing" when or not when help is expected over the top? Or do those skills now a days come second to flash potential? Id lean the latter.
  5. Its being adopted as a result of its resounding success in MLB. Tinney knows the zone, leads the team in walks, it will be a substantial plus for Texas. It sure seems to be a lot of installation in not much time.
  6. The OP posed a question. Good response to the rhetorical question. I assumed you could read Ronnie A lot of posters can.
  7. Rupp was good as well. Look. Its a big statement, I realize that. The season is nowhere near complete. Like the comment regarding protection behind him. On another note, Will Stein is preaching Texas High School football to BBN, Lake Travis specifically. Makes sense. Texas has yet to put a catcher into MLB that made a meaningful mark. Tinney may change that. Rupp may be as good as its been.
  8. Ivan won the spike award. He hit for a lot of power. Don’t recall his defense as well as his bat.
  9. The season is young, but is Carson putting together perhaps the best season ever in Longhorn Baseball? Everything he has an opportunity to do, he is taking advantage of. Especially last several series.
  10. Bobby, Was listening to Most underrated portal pickup episode - details below. It was a pro J Crockett ad. Is OTF affiliated or selling advertisement space to that campaign? Was surprised to hear it, but if I do again, you can cancel the subscription. Its a sweet deal for you, auto renew at the high rate, several years going, but I happily support the show. I will no longer if that is indeed the case.
  11. Coughlin's Law....Write or be gone.
  12. Come on Sark defenders. Explain the UIL numbers between Texas and Kentucky football. Sink that in. Leadership is lacking at the Head Coaching position.
  13. Yo kevin.....where you at? Looks like ridiculous wins again tonight. Another waste of time.
  14. That's right Kevin. Read it again if you didn't understand it. Expected more from the preseason #1. You, maybe not.
