I have to say, winning 2 or 3 games at the end of a season is an idiotic way to determine whether to retain a coach. Either he runs your program well enough 365 days a year to be the coach, or he doesn’t. Terry doesn’t.

Here’s another difference between Worthy and Beard IF Worthy did any of what was alleged. Beard was in a job where his role was to be a leader of young men. As a player or a parent, I wouldn’t put much stock in anything he told me in the locker room or on the recruiting trail after that incident. He forfeited the right to tell players how to be good men and hurt his ability to do his job. Worthy on the other hand is a 21 year old kid in no position of leadership.

There’s very little doubt about what Beard did unless you’re willfully blind to it. Much more ambiguity remains regarding the Worthy case.

What happened was he was facing 10 years in prison but his fiancée chose not to support the prosecution.

Woe is him, he made an incredibly selfish and idiotic decision. Texas had no choice and were 100% correct in firing him. He’s lucky he’s not in prison, much less coaching in the SEC.

I'm sure I am missing something -- I would assume the players that left Texas to other SEC schools are not sitting out 2025? So how are they able to work around that rule?

The only real what ifs for me are what if the holding gets called on 3rd and 8 and what if Sark puts Arch in and runs 4 QB sneaks. We were where we wanted to be.

Who are seen as the draft-eligible players most likely to return? I’d think Taaffe and DJ Campbell would be the two obvious ones.

No doubt we had other opportunities. But if they call the hold on Colin Simmons, most likely they don’t score. If we’re in the same situation on 4th and goal, we kick the field goal and are up 3. Plenty of blame to go around. But that’s an all time horrendous no call.

Jerry World and Atlanta are totally different planets in terms of pricing. Probably pay 5x for the same amount of stuff here
