Texas has the hardest schedule in college football in 2026 by most metrics. Why would they need to add a team, who will only agree to play at home or on a neutral site, that they own the series record against, to help bolster their schedule. Tech knows Texas wouldn't do this so it's all false bravado.

I would think Texas wants nothing to do with their shenanigans. Texas has owned that series and doesn't really gain anything playing that game. Don't need to give them the relevance they're desperately seeking. 

Why would Texas switch out Texas State to play a glorified community college?

I'm excited to see how Sark balances all the skill talent the team has on offense. Arch shouldn't have to play hero ball with as much help as he has. 

Probably most excited for this group of WRs.
