  1. I like the way you watch football and not just look at it.
  2. Year 3 yes, but year one of this roster with far less experience and twice the expectations.
  3. Ohio State has just as many flaws as anyone else. They had 200 yards against Texas. 200 and the run game or run defense didn't exist. They may end up winning it all, nothing they've shown says this is their identity offensively and to win it all you need something to lean on. What is that for Ohio State? Can't say the passing game, can't say the running game, they crossed the 50 twice in four quarters. They are not the clear front runner.
  4. Do you remember 1st year Quinn and how everyone swore up and down he couldn't read defenses when the reality is he was unsure of what he was seeing? In year 2 he was throwing not only with anticipation but throwing guys open. The good thing is this isn't an offense lead team and we don't need it to be. Next year when the defense is young and we lose key contributors we will need top notch Arch. Right now we can still win while Arch gets on the job training.
  5. Even in basketball you kind of know. Barring that pesky 16 seed knocking someone off usually you end up with top teams going in the season competing to cut down the nets. You're right it is early, but with two games you have enough data on what teams want to do and what they need to clean up to actually accomplish their goals. No one right now is as good as they seem nor or they as bad, but issues are starting to bubble. Later on we'll look back and know if those concerns were warranted or were we like fans do are just over analyzing.
  6. Look around the college football landscape and you won't find any team to point at and say that's the team to beat. The darling right now is Oregon, because they beat a very bad OSU team. Their flaws haven't shown as much because in both of their wins they've been able to out athlete everyone. Wait until Dante Moore gets to face a defense that wants and has the ability to take away Oregon's strengths, and I don't care who or what era Oregon is playing in, after all the crazy uniforms, the first thing that comes to mind is SAWFT!
  7. Anyone can lose to anyone anywhere on any given Saturday. There's no reason to be concerned. Too many people here assume that any team we play will be at their best while Texas will be at their worse. Texas can't be as immature and undisciplined as they were yesterday and beat Florida, but let's be honest here, it won't take a Herculean effort either. Florida has just as many issues if not more than Texas with Billy Napier being the most pressing.
  8. Starting a pool on who gets fired first Sammy P or Sunbelt Billy. 5 cent buy in🤣
  9. Two plays later he threw a very catchable ball to Butler 30 plus yards down feild from the opposite hash. Could there be some discomfort? Sure, but hurting isn't the same as injured.
  10. That would only serve as a band aid. Meaning going to the portal for positions you have players at who just lack game experience only kicks the can down the road. You have to find out if your pups are going to bite.
  11. We have to come to grips that Texas is a very young offense and we will have to lean on the defense until the offense gains it's footing. The good thing is right now, there is no team in the country that you can look at and say they are the clear cut favorite. Texas has time, but they need to use that time well to build on strengths and shore up weaknesses. It's week two enjoy the ebbs and flows without giving yourself a stroke, week 8 Texas will be light years ahead of week 2 Texas.
  12. That defense isn’t elite. We all knew what Michigan was going to do on offense. They ran into an 8-9 man box all night. They can't play Texas that way, their best bet is try to confuse Arch, but by that time Arch would have seen multiple coverages and defenses. Mateer is a riverboat gambler with his decisions and with no run game outside of running the qb 20 times a game no way he makes it a whole season.
  13. Soooooo we ready to have that conversation or nah? Yall still concerned?
  14. Especially with an inexperienced QB
  15. While everyone is out here trying to be the Chiefs, I'd like to be the Chargers. They are physical and beat you up running downhill.
  16. Finally Mahomes has a line that can hold up and Worthy is injured.
  17. The more I watch Justin Herbert the more I want Arch to mimic him. He throws a pretty ball with touch or velocity.
  18. Taken out by friendly fire and it sux because no matter who an OK reciever plays for they can't catch
  19. They have been missing in the draft and believe in the "core" way more than they should. They just gave Purdy a new contract, extended Aiyuk then he got hurt, Bosa does what he wants, made Warner one of the highest paid LBs(I like that nove), extended Kittle and didn't even look at Gunnar Helm. In the league you either get better or worse, nobody stays the same and I think it's going to be worse.
  20. 🤣 Cowboys fans it could be worse, you could be a 9ers fan like me. I begged and pleaded for them to draft Blue in the 5th. But no they believed in a running back on the wrong side of 30 with one achilles. Now he's on the injury report and the running back they did take in the 5th is injured too. No Aiyuk, Trent plays when he wants, and the rest of the o line sux.
  21. You're right none are competitive, but for my money UTEP has the most talent. For the level they play at they have a really nice defense. I like Baldwin a 6'7" edge who racked up 1.5. Not bad for the freshman from San Antonio.
  22. Football aside whenever the rain gets here it'll be welcomed.
  23. Im down the street in Leander, we normally get the same weather. I'm seeing clouds, but not rain until Sunday.
