    Penn St is in an awkward position with Franklin. He’s built a top tier program so you can’t fire him, but it looks like he’ll never get over the hump. So do fans just accept high level mediocrity?

    This should be pretty straightforward depending on the language in the contracts. On the surface, I don’t have a problem with a school not paying someone for not working, but the school can’t unilaterally enforce that unless the contract allows it. However, to call it fraudulent misrepresentation seems excessive.

    I’m curious how teams that fired a coach mid-season performed in subsequent seasons. Are they actually getting a head start on rebuilding their program or are they just quitting on the team? Especially considering this really sucks for those who lose eligibility after the season ends.
