    A) Nico’s lawsuit against the NCAA (which was handled by Tennessee) alleged antitrust violations. The SEC has a legitimate defense. He can transfer and wait a season, or he can go to any other conference and play now. This is very different from the NCAA’s blanket prohibition. B) Litigation is very expensive and he’s clearly solely focused on money.

    This baffles me as well. He could transfer but would have to sit out a season. I can’t imagine Alabama will pay $4-6 million for a bench warmer, and I can’t believe Nico would want to sit out a year.
