I’m not the star player on the #1 team in the country with TEXAS emblazoned on my chest representing the largest living alumni base in the country. Again - when you’re paid that much to know and abide by the rules, you’re going to be held accountable. No individual is above the team. Yeah, I’m a random fan. My opinion won’t make it to him, but I’m going to say it and push back when people make bad arguments/excuses for bad play. I wish I could care less* and remember the amazing performance, but it’s tainted for me. It’ll just be the PeeGate game.

But he's not really being held accountable. I'm very much in the minority that thinks this is a bigger deal than people want to admit, which is why I keep hammering it. This team's number 1 problem is discipline. Starts with the leaders.

I disagree. A couple of negative plays don't make up for the needless selfishness. From the highest paid player and leader we expect more. Doesn't get a pass from me. Beyond the bad gameplay, it was embarrassing to himself and the university. All for what, the meme?

My logic is the consequence should be according to the level of transgression. The money is about the level of accountability you should be held to when entrusted with your role. Colin is at the very top. Doesn’t get a pass bc of a couple extra negative plays. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't be if there were so many people who don't seem to see the issue. It's a team-wide discipline problem that's costing us real consequences in-game. I'm rooting for us to win, and it starts with our leaders.

Additionally. I'm not offended by the gesture. Not my brand of humor or celebrating, but do it on the side line for all I care. The guy is compensated too much to have that bad of in-game behavior.

I don't get paid MILLIONS of dollars to know and abide the rules of the game. It's against the rules in every sport at every level. It's really not hard.

I actually didn't care about the AI thing at all. It didn't cost the team REAL in-game consequences. Simmons DID. I'm rooting for the team to win games. Going backwards in penalties because of lack of discipline is maddening.

All I'm saying is that our best, highest paid player and leader should be held to a higher standard and I'm super frustrated about it. Don't think he got the benching he deserved. Attitude reflects leadership and the other players can all see what's going on.

His antics put us in the compromised spot to begin with. Discipline is killing this team and it will cost us the W eventually.
