  1. Yep, I was sick for a few days 2 weeks ago with flu like stuff, now it’s just a weird cough that won’t go away. Hoping week 3 is the final phase
  2. Nice comeback. Enjoyed being at the game near the end anyway. The fouling was definitely poorly done. Again, either no plan or bad execution. Hard to know but disappointing none the less
  3. I hope it’s just a bad game but I haven’t seen him do much this whole year. Tonight he’s driving and either forcing a shot or picking up his dribble and getting stuck. He doesn’t know where he’s outlets are going to be, and I don’t know if that’s his fault or if there is even a plan for guys to be in certain spots when he drives
  4. It just looks like a bunch of individual pieces that don’t fit together. When it’s almost all transfers year to year there is not enough chemistry to trust guys to be certain places. If it’s gonna work you need excellent coaching or incredibly complementary guys that work extremely well together. Not saying the guys aren’t trying, I just don’t see them working together on offense. It was similar last year. What do Mark and Kent do? Onyema is a foul absorber. Larry looks like he should’ve stayed at a lower level. We need Kaluma, Johnson and Pope to figure out some 3 man game with Sherdrick getting putbacks. We don’t have a distributer who can chip in. We don’t have a strong man down low.
  5. Terry deserved his shot. But it’s not working.
  6. Tre Johnson talking more to the coaches on the bench than playing the game. Didn’t finish the first half in the play, just watched. Now complaining to the coaches about why he’s getting beat on defense. I’m sure he’s frustrated, but it’s noticeable
  7. Crowd wants to get into this game but every time we are close we blow the next play. Larry the biggest culprit. Auburn has the look of some serious ball players. We have the look of guys who like(d) to play basketball.
  8. I’m at the game… Just 1 assist. So gross. A bunch of dribbling without looking to pass. Only passing once they pick up the dribble and are stuck looking for someone. Nobody is moving while the ball-handler drives, just watching. Zero plan on offense (no real surprise but annoying still). I like Terry but this is a coaching and/or roster construction issue. That’s all on him. His time has come I think
  9. Bama just fired a Co-DC… Hopefully that shakes a few guys loose to the portal as well
  10. Let’s get us one or two disappointed Georgia Bulldog DL in this week. They’ve had a weird year. Somebody’s got to want a change of scenery
  11. Texas needs to have someone bring this energy coming out at halftime. 3rd QT needs to flip to THE moment to end the game. https://imgflip.com/gif/1m5dwg
  12. Good thing Ark. St. can’t make FGs. Need Michigan to win now lol
  13. With all the talk of Texas having never scheduled a game against an FCS school, I got curious about where Texas would rank in the All-time Wins totals if teams weren't able to juice their stats with free wins against teams that are clearly sacrificial lambs... Best I could find in a short search was this article from 2020-2021... https://lwosports.com/college-football-all-time-wins-leaders/ This would show that Texas was #1 as of 2020, with OU just 4 games behind. OU has not passed us in the interim, but I think they made up 2 games (they played an FCS school in 2021). This article does however show Texas with 110 fewer wins when FCS teams are removed (813) than the official wins list often cited (923, as of 2020). So I don't know where the 110 wins go if we've never played an FCS team; maybe that stat needs to be checked out again. Either way, I've got to say, with all the chest pounding that goes on in college ball amongst fans. With all the dubious championships that get claimed by various teams.. I don't see why we cannot claim to be the actual winningest team in college football history. I'm fine with it. Make other people try to explain why a bunch of wins against a boys choir should count. Hook'em! Texas is the King of the actual mountain!

  14. That situational awareness is so great to show and teach the guys. Great teams not only make the play, win the rep, but understand the down, distance, clock, score, rules etc. Mahomes and other great QBs are so next level with that stuff. Quick snap before a review. Staying in bounds. Seeing who is subbing out. It’s great that the fundamentals seem to be solid enough that he can move on to more detailed concepts for the players. That will be huge in winning the biggest games. So glad Sark and Co. are on our side 😅
  15. Miami looks formidable with Ward. They should be in the handful of high danger teams
  16. Yall see that Mahomes threw it behind X? He’s still adjusting to the speed 😅
  17. Best offense in the league or the worst offense in the league… your call 😇
  18. 10-2 I suppose. My biggest prediction and most underrated intangible of the season is the way it is going to feel to FINALLY be out from under the big 12 referee jackboot! Getting the occasional PI or holding call in our favor is going to be such a boon to my soul. Makes 11-1 feel more realistic. Here’s to some sanity on Saturdays
  19. PK in the booth this year with the comms or on the field. Hasn’t he switched that some over the years? Started in the booth then came to the field to be more involved. Maybe back to the booth now that he can relay in real time?
  20. I was at this game too as an 11 yr old I guess. One of my first lasting horn memories. My dad worked a gate and would let a few of us kids sneak in and run around the stadium on game days. What a blast. As I recall they used to let people walk in for free in the 4th quarter back in the day.
  21. Why decommit and embarrass dad’s school if that’s the case?
  22. Michigan probably has 3 Ls so they won’t be Top 10 in the end. If they lose to USC too they may not be top 25. I could see Penn St. being mediocre even with their schedule. Their offense is never impressive.
  23. Didn’t know that.. though experience college has lifetime benefits too. Who’s to say he doesn’t get baseball and football NIL to sweeten his deal. Can’t repeat going to college at this age. Miss it and it’s gone. There is a much bigger window of opportunity for pro baseball
