  1. Cincinnati at Colorado randomly in the Top 10. No other Buffs games listed. Wonder why that one is big… Indiana vs Northwestern?? Ohio St vs Michigan is nowhere?
  2. USA looked pretty lost til he stepped on the floor. Captain America saving our bacon in that half.
  3. Reminding everyone of his greatness! Nothing but net on all 8 shots 😮‍💨
  4. Also don’t know about Witt and LBJ, right? LBJ went 5th rd. Witt went 14th rd. Those guys may or may not come back. I think they could also technically still enter the portal since it hasn’t been 30 days since Pierce left (if that’s the rule).
  5. Go ahead and make my day, Gerry!
  6. Do we know if Wilson was on the same field with Ffrench while Gerry was there?? Gerry did bring up Wilson out of nowhere… Did you get the scoop from the horse’s mouth there Gerr? Do the tower logs confirm your private jet location outside Wilson’s high school??
  7. 👀 Oooooh this would be escándalo! 🔥 Every action has an reaction
  8. USC - 2005 nostalgia, celebrities, matchup of the Big Cities Notre Dame - Prestige Worldwide Nebraska - Because it's so funny how much they dislike Texas
  9. Thanks, CJ. Great to have your recall on those guys. My question arose from the convo on Terry, with Gerry and Bobby repeating that Terry is not an RB or WR at Texas, which leads to TE or some HBack speculation. Seems like Terry could be very good at RB or WR on some rosters but Texas is recruiting amazing specialist guys at those (and most other) spots. The guys you mention do fall into the era of our less than stellar recruiting years, or no? I saw we had a large dip in blue chip guys between 2011-2018. Would it be fair to say there was more room to rise to the top on those rosters than us having 5 stars up and down the lineup? Obviously we want Terry! Just pondering the situations
  10. Thanks, yeah I do recall the DE/TE choice he had to make. Didn’t really consider him that way, but you’re right.
  11. As we keep hearing about recruiting Michael Terry III, and how’s he’s an amazing athlete (no doubt) but he’s not specialized in any particular position.. I’m genuinely curious, do we have any examples of an ATH recruit being a successful starter at Texas? I can’t think of any, but that’s why I ask. I have no doubt they can be successful, but at a place with top 5 classes, with great specialized players can a generalist find their way? Of course they *could* but remind me, who has? Thanks, y’all 🤘🏼
  12. Curious, Blake if currently atm is outspending all of college baseball this off-season just to go for it all one more time. Is there an open checkbook from the scorned ags this year in particular? We’ve heard the rumors of the big numbers they splashed to keep their biggest hitters. Are they determined to buy up the portal this year to get back to the finals? (Huge gamble given the unpredictability of college ball and a new staff). Are we snagging their high schoolers while they are focused on buying the now?
  13. Knipp is a catcher, right? Dont we already have 2 good catchers for next year (Galvan and Kimble S.)…
  14. You have our attention, sir
  15. Nothing is certain on some guys until the draft comes and goes. If LBJ has years left he’s not going to decide until he sees where he goes in the draft.. I would think
  16. True it’s just Twitter rumors for now, though it would be easy to shoot down by the mods if there really wasn’t any smoke there. Ags will be motivated to retaliate. I bet they would drastically over pay Max just for the PR and ego shot at us. It’s a solid slap back if they could make it happen. Hopefully the Tulo news lessens the blow for Max and any others. This is all too fascinating 😅
  17. For all the talk about Schloss not being 100% in during the playoffs and distracted, I think you could argue that knowing he was leaving took some pressure off and *could* have helped the Ags. Both Schloss and atm went farther than either has ever gone before, they beat Texas, they played loose and confident. Great run. You never know if Schloss would’ve been tight, rushed pitching changes, been too aggressive on the bases, made the players nervous with his worry about the hot seat if they lost before Omaha. I mean who knows.. you can’t know if they might have been better off with a relaxed coach who was happy about his future
  18. I know nothing but will predict the Ags get a new HC that’s willing to take in Earley. Ags save face and claim a win. We get way fewer atm transfers than were alluded to, and all will settle into the new normal. Schloss will be a “snake” forever to atm and we’ll all roll our eyes at the hyperbole of ags about losing a coach who’s only real sin was handling a question poorly at a press conference.
  19. Seems clear we are a safety net for Earley, and he’d prefer east texas. Going to be interesting if he is willing to accept or (even be offered) a lesser role with a new HC. You’d think he can’t truly be ready to be a major HC. And then no new HC really wants to be forced to hire him to their staff. Kind of a let down that if he stays it will be as a captive of circumstance. Tough spot for him at the moment and I feel for the guy. All good options in the end but a whirlwind I’m sure.
  20. Doesn’t seem like there’s much reason to get into a bidding war for an NIL first guy in June/July cause you’re just driving up the price and giving other teams a number to beat that they can fundraise for over the Fall. If you like one of these NIL first guys just give him an increase at the last minute. Pay increases are exciting, especially once the old number gets stale. Get them excited right before they have to actually sign (assuming you want them in the locker room). Everything before is just a dance. Seems like the staff gets that and will have a plan. I don’t see a reason to worry about it now really. Having open spots to fill late can be selling point to certain guys as well (playing time).
  21. Watching TexAgs this morning for the 2nd time ever and I gotta say, it’s finally dawning on them that this coaching switch is really just the way things go. High and mighty host talking about who they are going to hire.. and then what players can they bring with them.. but then qualifying it to say “but don’t be dirty about it.” Other guy says but you have to talk to the players if you want them to come with you. Points out how coaches always bring a few players with them these days. Also drops a good reference to Elijah Robinson recruiting from atm to Syracuse this past bowl season without much fuss. I really think they’re struggling to pull a new hire from a big program because they’ve scared the crap out of coaches who don’t want to get the treatment Schloss is getting. They’ll have to go down a tier and get someone from a place that can’t possibly compare to atm’s money and conference. DBU, ECU, Wake.. those places are an obvious step below in funding and fans would get it more or less. Or they can hire a top assistant from a big place. But they’ll be settling for a someone who won’t mind being called a lesser choice, who Aggie are disappointed with, who wants the big pay check, and who probably doesn’t know what he’s walking into. There is no Schloss level guy out there who would want this situation
  22. If it is supposed to come out Wednesday or Thursday from Texas then it wouldn’t surprise me if we start seeing from the aggies side first to help soften the blow. Don’t just let texas have a triumphant announcement out of the blue. If it’s Schloss today is the day Aggie bigwigs try to turn around the train and if they fail they figure out the messaging and a new plan. Im way too into this topic haha 😅 love this drama
  23. Oh I agree he’s a great coach and his age is part of what makes him attractive. I’m just saying I don’t think you’d use the term “lifetime contract” for someone that age. It’s too speculative cause he *could* end up not being a fit at Texas (imo). Until last night he didn’t have the NC feather in his cap. I just think Schloss is such a cultural fit and has secured extensions from CDC at TCU before that saying lifetime contract is an easy thing to project and say causally on the morning show today. Vitello is more of a home run hire that you say *should* work out. Schloss just makes more sense based on the clues is all I’m saying. Just a fun guessing game
  24. And if it’s a “lifetime” contract as the guys have said then it’s not Vitello. He’s too young for that kind of comment (45 yrs). Not to mention he’s too much of a hot head to safely say that kind of thing about him at any school (except Tenn now). A 10 year deal takes Schloss to age 63.. that’s getting to the final years of coaching.
