  1. Could've sworn I saw a poster on here yesterday say Tony isn't "qualified" to criticize.
  2. To which John Mateer reaggravated his thumb in celebration πŸ˜‚
  3. Now those that want Sark out are going to see this and start the "Freeman to Texas" train πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  4. And a 3 and out to start for Miami. Oof...
  5. Im glad he went for it on 4th and 2. Did think it was fumny that Miami was celebrating keeping them out of the end zone, only to realize they still got a first down.
  6. I'm hoping we try to emulate their offense's start with our own. They established the run and called short passes to get Lagway going. If we can do that and score some points, with our defense, we can be the team that starts putting others on their heels to begin with.
  7. Nice to know you're an Aggie, Tech, and Baylor fan too
  8. Calling it now, if Elko goes there, you know it'll be somehow our fault πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ To @Gerry Hamilton's point, we were seeing talk of people wanting Sark gone after this season. People wanting Kirby gone. Ryan Day gone last year, until they won the title.
  9. Except he's always been like this. Last year was the outlier. I never understood why their offense was predicted to be good. All their receivers transferred out for not getting the ball, their primary receiver (Tyler Warren) was gone to the NFL. And oh, you still have Drew Allar at qb (lol) and James Franklin as your HC (LOL).
  10. Man, maybe the world is fixing to end after all
  11. I understand where you're coming from. I meant that passion isn't just being fiery on Saturdays. Passion is also honing technique like you talked about. Passion is also working at deficiencies in your game, like Tony referenced another time. As for "impugning your integrity", I said that I didn't mean to sound condescending, but do understand how what I said came across. I think most of us come from some sort of background in football, whether playing or coaching, so we all have our different experiences to rely upon, and can continue to learn from each other. I meant no disrespect.
  12. It's either basketball stuff, or Dakorien Moore, your choice πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  13. You said our problem isn't passion or toughness, then called out DJ Campbell. I would venture that having passion and toughness would remedy what you talked about. If you're passionate about your play, like Tony talked about, you'd be doing the little things throughout the week to ensure you play at an optimal level on Saturday. If you're passionate on Saturdays, that becomes infectious and should cause your teammates to look within and ask if they want to match your passion, or get out of the way. And toughness? You either got it or you don't. Coach Ship brings up Kasey Studdard all the time as an example of toughness. I don't mean this in a condescending way, but if you've never played in the trenches before, it really is a fight every play, and you better have the will to bring it, or get out of the way.
  14. Bingo. I imagine our defense will keep them contained like last year. Hell, today all they got was one rushing td and 3 field goals.
  15. I have confidence our defense will clamp down on their offense, and in our offense at least being competent. If Auburn could stay close with them, Im pretty sure we can win.
  16. I figure he wants to get this solved before basketball season starts. He was already trashing Sean Miller when he was hired. Amazing that a combo football/basketball savant is relegated to posting with us poors.
  17. I'm right there with you. There are MULTIPLE people that have played high level football, both college and pros, or have covered it extensively, saying that arch will be fine, but give it time. But nooope, here it is on Thursday and it's still going. I'm almost to the point that I'm hoping Arch and the offense play well enough to win the SEC and/or make or win the National Championship just to spite the worriers.
  18. Why would he? The "better" coaches are commenting on here
  19. I remember my first toy football uniform and helmet were Longhorns. I had to have been 6 or 7 at the time. I was so hooked on football I used to steal the pawns out of my dads chess set to use as pylons for my field aka the hallway w carpet. First time I can really recall a game was Roll Left. Been a fan ever since, even during the dark days. Going to camp before my senior year (summer of 2004) was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I didn't even care if they recruited me or not, I was just excited to actually be there and run drills and 7 on 7 first in DKR then the bubble. Seeing my dad speechless when he got to meet Mack afterwards was the cherry on top.
  20. Shipley, butan I loved that hit Griffin laid in that picture. Helped set the tone from the jump that Texas was there to play.
  21. I was actually thinking about this idea a couple weeks ago, but I'm glad that you had the same one and ran with it. Really looking forward to watching it now!
  22. My favorite spot in San Marcos back in the day was Mamacita's. They also had an NB location (where La Cosecha is now, for the person that referenced it), but the San Marcos one is a Buffalo Wild Wings now. RIP
  23. Herberts has the Gabriel Iglesias seal of approval. Love that place
