    I find it ironic that some here are calling the players mercenaries and complaining how "nobody wants to develop anymore" but are also complaining about us not getting enough Olinemen in the portal and gnashing their teeth about the prospect of *gasps* developing a left guard

    It could help in film study. Obviously goes without saying, but watching All 22 os way different than seeing it first person. Where it would help is when the Dline stems, delay blitzes, stunts, etc. You can rep it over and over to see it.

    That sounds logical. Also, some of the freshman players put an intramural flag football team together and made it halfway through the season before the coaches found out and pulled the plug on it. They were out there playing "two hand touch" instead of flag lol. Was a bit of an eye opener lol

    That's not surprising lol. I also remember hearing that in the summer before, Vince put out a message to any db's in the area to come run 7 on 7 against the Texas receivers and tight ends, and only Texas State's took the challenge

    That offense was powerful for that level. Watching Neely was like watching Vince Lite. Ironic that it was the same year.

    I was at that game. Man, we thought we had it when we got the ball with that much time left. My friends and I were planning a road trip to the NC already. The student paper interviewed him after, where he said that even though they had a quick strike offense, they were prone to mistakes in 2 minute drill over the course of the season, and he didnt want to risk that so deep in Northern Iowa's territory.
