  1. "The Tre Wisner play stood out to me the most."
  2. Sarkisian says one of his favorite plays Saturday was a swing play to Tre Wisner where he could have gone out of bounds after a big game, but instead he stayed in bounds and delivered a hit to the Michigan DB's to help establish the tone of physicality the Longhorns were playing with on Saturday.
  3. Sark says the team has a meeting for 20 minutes every Friday called 'Situational Masters' for when those critical moments arise, they are prepared. Texas shows clips of other games in big situations late in games or in specific time/distance examples.
  4. Sarkisian says one thing for Trey Moore he has been impressed with is his physicality in the run game. "The other stuff is going to come." Says even though the sack numbers aren't there he has been very impactful on the EDGE.
  5. Sarkisian says he calls on his team to go to that killer level. Even if the game is out of hand, he doesn't want teams to score late and he doesn't want to waste offensive possessions. "I want to make it 60 minutes of hell for our opponents."
  6. Sarkisian says an area the team can improve is perimeter blocking. Texas isn't hitting those home runs right now because they aren't finishing their blocks out wide.
  7. Sarkisian says it was huge for Texas to stay ahead of the chains and not turn the ball over. Ewers executed that plan. They did not want to be behind in the chains for Wink Martindale to blitz.
  8. Sark: There wasn't a throw Saturday that was every really in danger aside from maybe one check down.
  9. Sarkisian says one thing about Ewers that gets lost is that we don't see the emotions and competitiveness at times. Sark pointed to the OK State game on the road in Stillwater where Ewers was "pissed" after the loss.
  10. "As good as we think we have played, in my opinion we are going to need to play better to achieve the goals we have."
  11. Sarkisian says he believes the INT by Mukuba was a result of the pass rush by Ethan Burke. Credits Manny MUhammad for also getting his hand in the basket there. Next for Texas is to not allowing the QB out of the pocket says Sarkisian. Sark says they were a bit surprised by Warren's athleticism outside the pocket,
  12. Sarkisian says he believes the pass rush has been good. There hasn't been too many chances to get after the quarterback even with Texas getting up on the scoreboard.
  13. Sarkisian says he pulled up the Notre Dame win over Texas A&M and loss to Northern Illinois to the team as a reminder than anything can happen in the game of college football.
  14. Sarkisian calls UTSA a little wounded after getting whooped by Texas State a week ago, mentions that is the most dangerous team to play.
  15. I don't know if defense will ever be played in Lubbock.
  16. Texas is 2–0, the No. 2 team in the country and coming off of the biggest win of the season in all of college football. Head coach Steve Sarkisian is set to speak with the media Monday morning to recap the victory over Michigan and to preview UTSA. Notes and quotes in the comments down below.
  17. I suspect Hilson takes a little while now that he is back on the market. I am not expecting an immediate decision based off what I have known about his recruitment thus far.

Hilson had been committed to the Seminoles since January, but following FSU's disastrous start to the 2024 season, he has opted to reevaluate his future.
