  1. Lagway had some moments. He is a ways from being the dude, but certainly has a high ceiling. Texas will be seeing Mertz in the fall barring injury.
  2. The offensive line gives me pause, but I am as big a fan of Bill Bedenbaugh as you will find. OU, similarly to Texas, is finding capable bodies via the portal in the defensive line area as well. They have the fewest 300+ pound iDL of any team in the country at the moment. Though they are trending for Louisville portal DT Jermayne Lole.
  3. Three commitments in 10 months normally does not inspire a lot of confidence. There is some extra maturation needed here for Wilson.
  4. I am looking at TCU to be a player here.
  5. There's some real intensity!
  6. 17 runs allowed on just 11 hits to UTRGV should about do it.
  7. I mean not really. It was still the NIT. A good run nonetheless, but a fight for 70th best team in the country is still where they ended up.
  8. Cash +435! Love it.
  9. The issue is pitching doesn't grow on trees, nor does it just show up 60% of the way through the season. However, there is plenty of pop in these bats and Texas can get hot with the lineup against just about anyone.
  10. David Pierce and his squad will return to Austin Sunday evening with a series victory after a come from behind victory over Houston this afternoon. Texas scored eight runs in the 9th inning Sunday afternoon to take care of business 13–8. Conference series seemingly always start off rocky for the Longhorns, yet here we are with another series victory. Texas improves to 22–15 on the season with a 9–6 record in Big 12 play. The Longhorns sit alone in 4th place in the conference at the moment as well, behind West Virginia and Oklahoma (11–4) and Oklahoma State (10–5). With five conference series remaining, there remains plenty of opportunity for Texas to find consistency before the postseason begins. As things stand currently, Texas has the most home runs (74) of any team in the Big 12 and the third most runs (280).

  12. some concession stand renovations inside DKR
  13. Can confirm Will Griffin has big hands. 10.9” hands
  14. one of IMG’s finest 2026’s.
  15. 2026 Mansfield Lake Ridge OL Felix Ojo looks every bit of 6’6” with 6’7” not entirely out of the picture. Impressive looking prospect in shorts and a shirt.
  16. Massive! First commit for Johnny Nansen is a big one.
  17. Felix Ojo is an interesting one. An early top OL candidate along with Turntine and Katoa. Lots of interest here early for the Mansfield OL.
  18. Thank you Cisco for the comment! A big reason why I love bringing news and updates to the board each week! Really appreciate you being a part of this community and hope to continue making this place one you can enjoy spending time on!
  19. Marcus Harris checking out that first unit offense.
  20. Very unfortunate. S'maje is a great kid. Got caught on the wrong end of a few bounces and now he is playing from behind the eight ball a bit.
  21. Burrell had plans to enter the portal on Monday when the window opened. The linebacker out of North Crowley had been dealing with a back injury for most of the offseason and just recently added a shoulder injury to his report after a day in the weight room last week. To add to the fact, Burrell was not seeing eye to eye with Sarkisian from earlier in the offseason as well. Following the news of the Sweat incident, there was little to ponder about for Sarkisian. Burrell was announced on Tuesday to no longer be a member of the Texas Football program. He will officially enter the portal on Monday, the 15th.
  22. I see a shorter Jonathon Brooks with his vision, cutting ability and balance.
  23. LBJ has extremely average vertical rise with his pitch at 16 inches vertical movement. For guys in the MLB that average 95 mph on their fastballs, you see a mark round 18.5"– 19.5". Point being, there is no jump or extra juice on the fastball for LBJ. Looking at the BYU start last Thursday, BYU's lineup sat dead red on the fastball and hit four to the tennis courts.
