    The Texas Longhorns have made the cut for 2025 Lewisville OT Michael Fasusi in his top seven. Fasusi is expected on campus April 9 for an unofficial visit before returning to Austin in June for his official visit on the 21-23 weekend. Texas A&M has made some noise here after back to back weekend visits from the Lewisville star. However, Kyle Flood and the Longhorns have long prioritized Fasusi and made it known early he is atop of the Texas board.

    2025 Mater Dei RB Jordon Davison will be on campus this weekend per a source. A big weekend for the Texas staff gets even bigger with the addition of Davison to the visitor list. Davison is also scheduled to make an official visit to campus June 21-23, but this unofficial is a big opportunity for Texas to calm the momentum back from Ohio State following a weekend visit in Columbus.

    The Duncanville five-star was on campus today for the Texas Relays. Duncanville's notorious 4x100m relay team walked out of the event with a first place finish after yet another sub-40 second time this morning. Moore will return to Austin twice next month – April 6 and the spring game April 20. The LSU commit has a final four of Oregon, Ohio State, LSU and Texas. An interesting note from speaking with Moore is the proximity to home is something that Texas has above its competition in this race. The Texas staff speaks with Moore every day as you would expect. Texas freshman EDGE Colin Simmons swung by Mike A. Myers Stadium. He and Moore are very close and Simmons has been in his ear very often about his time on campus so far. An important factor at the moment. Expect official visit dates to be released early April. Moore had yet to announce anything final at the moment when I spoke with him. I see Texas as that 1B team in this recruitment at the moment and depending on how the visits go in April, things could get interesting quickly for the nation's No. 1 overall WR.

    A few recruiting updates ahead of the weekend. *** Texas will be hosting 2026 Forney RB Javian Osborne for an unofficial this weekend. Osborne has been a frequent visitor to Texas during his recruitment and was lsat campus for the Junior Day on January 20. Orborne rushed for 2231 yards and 39 rushing touchdowns in 2023. While Texas has a verbal pledge in the fold from Aledo RB Raycine Guillory Jr. the recruiting of running backs in this class has not slowed. *** Four-star 2025 OL Lamont Rogers is expected on campus Friday. Rogers was down in Austin last week for the Elite 11 and All-22 though did not stop by campus to see the staff. The Mesquite Horn prospect just visited Missouri a week ago. Texas has a bit of work to do here. Missouri, Texas A&M and Tennessee are schools to keep close eyes on at the moment. Rogers does have an official visit to Texas locked in for June 14–16. *** Texas Relays are this weekend at the Mike A. Myers Stadium behind DKR. The perfect blend of high school, college and professional track organizations will be in attendance for the four day event.     Texas will be hosting a handful of prospects on campus this weekend. However, a new name has surfaced as one that will also be making the trip to the 40 Acres. 2027 Waxahachie QB Jerry Meyer III will make his first trip to Austin. Meyer, who just moved in from Las Vegas, has not yet seen his recruitment blow up despite throwing for a Nevada state record 58 touchdowns and leading his high school to the class 2A State Championship a year ago. Regional schools have begun reaching out to Meyer following his move to the DFW area. Oklahoma, Baylor and Utah are other schools that have begun ramping up communication as well. There is also the possibility of a reclassification to the 2026 cycle here.
